Pamela Ferrell: Hi! I am Pamela Ferrell with Cornrows & Company Natural Hair Care. And today, I am showing you, how to do a simple cornrow hairstyle. And as you see we have finished it and now, what I am going to show you is the finishing touches of what we'll do make this hairstyle complete.
As you notice, I have left her ends loose and I purposely did that because I wanted to have some volume, when I create a nice little chignon in the back. So you take it and pull it together and roll those ends, like this and bend it around. And again, you don't want to force it, if you are very gentle and you place it, you get a nice soft roll and you won't get any resistance, where it will pop as you are trying to twist it around. Okay and I am going to use a booby pin and a bobby pin is the one that's closed. I am going to use one on each side and of course, if you don't have bobby pins at home, you can use a hair pin, which is the one that's open, either one, will work.
Here, we go and then that's a nice simple quick hairstyle every bit of about 30 minutes and I am going to just put in and add a little bit of color, accessory and last we are going to make a small fine hairs along, her hairline we will make those lay down, as you see we have already done one side and so we'll just do the other side and what I am using is a tooth brush and this is the dedicated hair tooth brush, this is not the same when you are going to use to brush your teeth and you want just a tad a very, very, very, small amount. In this case, I am using a soft pomade gel.
So you don't want anything that's really hard and that's going to be hard on the hair, we just want - just enough to kind of make the little frizzes and small hairs, lay down. And also, at night when you tie it up that will help to keep those lying down as well. And this toothbrush will prevent you from putting heat on your hairline, to make it lay down. There you have it, we are all done, isn't that beautiful? And again, you can wear this to work, you can wear it for play and it doesn't take long to do.
So that's a simple cornrow hairstyle.
