Hi! This is Ben Canty with All Star Legacy and I am here with Lauren. We are showing you guys cheerleading jumps and techniques. We are moving on now to our advance level jumps and jump sequences. We have already learned all of the basic jumps that we are going to need to now for today. So we are going to move on to things like the double toe touch and a toe touch front hurdler.
We will start with our double toe touch. We will do it quickly and then we will break it down for you. Here we go. 5-6-7-8, 1, hit 2, 3, hit 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, stand 1, good. There are some added counts that we added for this one. So it is going to go just a little bit differently. Here we go, we will break it down. 5-6-7-8, high 'V' 1, hit 2, swing 3, hit your jump on 4. When we come back together, we want to slice our hands all the way through on 5, hit 6, land 7, hold 8 and stand up on 1.
One more time, we will show that to you nice and slow. 5-6-7-8, 1, hit 2, 3, hit 4, slice 5, hit 6, land 7, hold 8 and stand up on 1. You want to make sure that if we are starting with our high 'V' on 1, your toe touches are going to hit on 4 and on 6. We will show it to you one more time and then will move on. 5-6-7-8, 1, hit 2, 3, hit 4, 5, hit 6, 7, 8, stand 1, good. Now let's move on the toe touch front hurdler. It's going to be very similar, except in this one when we come down from our toe touch, we are going to squeeze our stomach and turn our hips to the side. We will show you one real fast and then we will break it down. 5-6-7-8, 1, hit 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, stand 1, good.
We will start from the beginning. So 5-6-7-8, high 'V' 1, hit 2, swing for a toe touch 3, hit on 4, on 5 we are going turn just a little bit, on 6 we hit our front hurdler, our arms are all the way up by our ears in a touchdown motion, land 7, hold 8 and stand up on 1.
Here we go nice and fast. 5-6-7-8, 1, hit 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, stand 1, good. It is going to be really important whenever you do, like triple jumps or double jumps or any kind of jump sequence, that you are working just as hard to get your legs down as you are to get them up. So remember always land your jumps with your feet together squeezing in your quads and squeezing in your stomach to make sure that you are landing nice and tight.
