How to do the Gastrocnemius Stretch
After pronouncing this you might need a stretch for your tongue muscles!
The following 4 stretches will help you relax, increase energy, and relieve upper body tension. The 3 first ones are actually taken from the Body Shop book called “Yoga” and the last ones are my own personal favorite.
The first stretch, folding leaf. Simply place your hands at the edge of your desk and slide back until your arms and back are extended. In this position, hold it for 4 breaths. Afterwards, simply released your arms, your hands and lie your chest against your thighs. Release for 1 minute. Once you feel ready, come back to starting position. You will see a world difference.
