What is up guys? Alright, this next song I want to do is called “519” by Matt Wertz. I have been getting a couple of requests for it. I also have about 55 requests right now, so it is going to take some time for me to get to some songs, so have patience and we will get them.
We are tuned a half step down on this song so instead of E, A, D, G, B, E it is Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb. So, if you have one of those tuners, whenever you tune it, it says E in the middle, I think it is like 440 is E, whenever you hit that note you want to tune down to where it goes down to about 430 for the E, that’s Eb. And then your next string is A, will be straight up, you want to get down to 430, right to the left of A, until your little needle goes over there. There is some tabs I am going give you, there is one chord on there that you can use if you are advanced, you want to try it but I do not even use it when I play this because it is annoying and I think that it is unnecessary but on the live versions I never even seen him play it.
The bar across the, actually you put your pointer finger on the 3rd string down 2nd fret, then on the 4th frets, up here, 4th one down, on the 2nd and 4th string, put your middle finger here on the 2nd string down 4th fret, ring finger 4th fret 4th string down, and put your pinky on the 5th. That is what the tab had you playing it, it is like this.
[Demonstration]
Like that. He does not play that, anymore on the live version so I do not know where to get tabs for that from, but anyway it does not matter, it is up to you. I going to kind of teach, really there are two ways to play it, the first is if you want to pick it and the second is you just want to strum the chords. The four chords, that we are going to do, is like a C, a C #m7, a B, an A, and an E. So, the first one I am going to do is a C#m, so bar across the 2nd fret with your pointer, then down here put your ring finger on the 2nd string down on your A string on the 4th fret and then skip a string, and then on the 4th string down 4th fret, your pinky should go there.
So, whenever he plays in the song you can tell it goes from a lowest note just the next like up, up an octave, in that one note, so it goes like. It really goes like this.
[Demonstration]
But it is a little higher, but the way I like to play it, I think it is easier and it eliminates having to do anything with this finger up here. What I want you to do is I want you to play, while you have this, for your barring, and the 2nd string down ring finger 4th fret, 4th string down, G string, we are in the middle, I’m sorry, pinky finger 4th fret. You are going to go 2 3 2 4.
[Demonstration]
Like that, 2 3 2 4. Numbering 1 2 3 4 5 6.
2 3 2 4. Then where you had this ring finger, kind of here, you just roll it down. So, if you have it like that, just roll it down, like that, try to get a good picture, just roll it down so it covers these 3 strings now. One on the 4th fret, and that is your B, so you are going to go like this.
[Demonstration]
Or you can just kind of strum it. That is what I do, I like to go like this, because I kind of strum the middle four strings and then I just hit like the 3rd string down, and then the 5th and the 4th at the same time. So you are going to do that, and then you go to the A. You can either play an A where you have--the real focus of the A is you want to have the 3rd, 4th and 5th strings covered on the 2nd fret. So, you can do it however you want, the way you want. I bar it just because it is easier for me to go from there and it is just easier for me to go up from B--
[Demonstration]
--to that. So, once you go to the A you can also play where you have your middle finger, 3rd string down 2nd fret, 4th string down at 2nd fret pointer finger, and 5th string down, 2nd fret ring finger. You play it that way. And really you are just going to play 2, 3, 4 and then you can either just play, 2, 3, 4, 5 or you can play 2, 3, 4 and then it is 5, 4, so you can play,
[Demonstration]
Or--

And then, from there you are going to go up to this E which is middl
