Poor Audio Quality
What is up guys, alright it is Aaron again. I want a couple more videos today because I am going to New York for next week. So, I must take my guitar with me. I got four, I want to do that, the first one I want to do let us go with some of African Queen it is a request and I got from I forgot those things I do not have it and about -- but more I remember it standard tuning, capo is on the I fret and basically just take a really short picking pattern.
If you do not want to pick it, you want to strum it, the chords are -- it is like four chords all song, it is A. So, you could have a third string down, put your middle finger on the II fret the fourth string down, put your pointer finger on the II fret and this string then you want to put your ring finger on the II fret. So it is like an upside down triangle with your pointer from a little bit higher on that frets that wait from in (inaudible).
The four chords are A, skip on 1, A -- an F#m which grows to the capo F#m. So, what you are going to do is the barre across the -- let us see.
[Demonstration]
Yes, put your barre across the II fret, your pointer finger. And since it is a minor chord, you do not need the finger your middle finger on there. So take your ring finger put on the second string down IV fret, third string down your D string, IV fret put your pinkie.
[Demonstration]
That is how it sounds like, so A chord.
[Demonstration]
Third chord is a D.
[Demonstration]
So the D from the fourth string down in G string, the pointer finger is on II fret, fifth string down on B string, put your ring finger on the III fret and high E where your bottom string, if you want your middle finger on the II fret, that is your D and then fourth chord is an E. An E is go down to the I fret about the capo, put your pointer finger on your D string fourth string down then put your ring finger on the third string down II fret and your middle finger on the second string down II fret. So E had open, II fret middle, II fret ring, and I fret pointer, open, open.
[Demonstration]
And that is your E, so that is all the four chords you can strum it, you can figure it out how the patterns, it is like --
[Demonstration]
One thing that keep that line for this song to make it easier, here is your first chord which is your A, when you play that and you switch to your barre, when you come up to your D, you have your pointer finger here on the fourth string down. Whenever you go here to the next from your D to the next chord which is E, your pointer finger is still in the string and you slide up frets. So, instead of picking all your fingers up and then put them down just slide that pointer finger up from the D chord is on II fret on fourth string down.
[Demonstration]
Just slide up there and that is the plays Chorus.
[Demonstration]
Then you are going up to an E back to the A, you slide down that pointer finger is only four string down the II fret again. So from the E, we got these two fingers and just slide up that pointer finger back on the II fret and the put your middle and ring fingers.
[Demonstration]
So if you will watch, I will play these four chords myself on twice so that you can see the transition of an E at the end and A at the beginning. Just watch that pointer finger on mine. You will pick up a couple of times from the A, there is a lot of the D, but other than that stays on exact same string, slides up-down, so --
[Demonstration]
Then D, it slides up to E and by down with the A, so if you are clear on common fingers like that and eliminate picking up bring down sliding on it, it is like you know have a cleaner sound, you get your plays chord for the rest of your string.
So, if you do not want to strum it and you want to pick it, you can listen to the song but it is just like fourth, it is just like --
[Demonstration]
So it is just you know kind of arpeggio. So the strings that I am playing on this Chorus by with an A I am just playing the A string, D, G, B. So, A, D, G, B, to F I am playing A, D, G. It is the top four both the D I am playing the third string toward fifth to sixth down from the top. So, if you have E, G, B and E. If you guys play that middle finger of your D is going to do that.
[Demonstration]
That what is the honest would go, and then back to your D I just play since the E the bass of an E is the E string it is like --
[Demonstration]
So play for top four and -- or you can play second, third, fifth. It is really up to your personal preference what you like the sound would better. So that is it for African Queen and there are really any tabs just you play these four chords and if you want to pick it just pick, just pick a string and play four notes down.
So you know -- It is all there is to it.
So, thanks for the request and trying to get more videos, see you guys.
