What’s up guys? This is Aaron. This is a song by Jack Johnson, it’s called “Banana Pancakes” I got a request for it.
And, I never really jam a Jack Johnson a whole lot, but I like the song now that I kind of got close to it. Truly, it is a short song but there is a lot of different guitar parts because he plays everything like [Demonstration] like two B’s and then he goes something else.
But, the first part that I want to start off is the intro. This will probably be a two-part video. The intro set will go something like this.
[Demonstration]
Something like that. The first—there are four parts that I have had tab. So, even if I do not play correctly, 100%, the tabs are online, you guys can learn on that.
The way I like to play it is that I like to use my pointer finger and I point the bar across all the strings because this intro can be played like 5/5 in these top two string and it just makes it much easier to put a bar and then putting like two fingers on different strings. So, the way I started out for the first is that the first thing actually fit, and then slide at the 7. And then, you play this A string, second string down the fifth, and back to the 7th on the E string.
So, what I would like to do—the way I want to teach you is, take your pointer finger and start with the bar across the 4th fret. Just because—that allows you to have the bar already on there. Then, I want you to put the bar across all the strings on the first fret, your pointer on the 4th fret with your pointer finger, and then stick your ring finger on the 5th fret. So then, you play that lower E and then you slide that up. Once you slide that up to the 7th fret, your bar goes right on the 5th fret so your bar is there. So, you start on the 4th fret with your bar and on the 5th fret is your ring finger like there and there. When you play this lower E string, you slide on the 7th, your bar should be across the 5th. So you go [Demonstration] and then you play the A string instead of creating an E. Take that ring finger across on the 5th so it would be 5, slide down the 3, open, and then 3 slide up to the 5th. [Demonstration]
And then, I want you follow back up and put your ring finger back on the 7th fret. You just tune in you’re a string and just go [Demonstration]. You kind of play it like a chuck or something, but that is basically—you figure that part out. [Demonstration]
And the second part that you are going to play is pretty much the same thing. You do the same thing or you start your bar on the 4th fret and ring finger on the 5th fret of the E string and you go. [Demonstration]. Whatever you are getting out of this, instead of the first riff, you do the slide at the very end, 3 to 5, and then strum the chord. This time, we will just play 3 and then you are going to put your ring finger on the second string down, your A string on the 5th fret and your middle finger four strings down with the G string with riff. And that is how you play it.
[Demonstration]
Then, you go back up. Start that riff all over again. And this time, you are going to go through and you are going to slide up, 5th to 7th, but instead of applying the [Demonstration], you are going to go 5 to 7. So you are going to start the bar across the 4th fret. This ring finger is going to fit. You are going to play the lower E, slide up so it sets on the lower E, and then you are going to play a 5th fret on your second tune on your A string, and then take that riff and go 5 on this A string. The second thing that we are going to do is [Demonstration] 5, 7, 5, then back to 7 from the lower E, then 5 on the lower E, take your pointer finger out and open [Demonstration] and then in that chorus.
[Demonstration]
And then, you do the same riff that you did the same earlier where you go [Demonstration]. I have a tab for this. I am going to try and put them up over here on the window. Sometimes for some reasons, they do not look the same in Microsoft Word where I do my tabs. So, they look weird to this information box, just copy and past it on Microsoft Word and make it more earsome. But tha
