What is up, Youtube? It is Aaron. This can be the last video I will make tonight and not like you guys can tell what videos I can make when. But this song is really, it is a great song. It is one of the most distinctive songs that I think personally that you can hear. Every rose has a thorn by Poison, it is so easy to play. I think you really are going to like this one. But what we do is, I will actually tell you the chords, kind of some of the strum patterns I am going to play for the whole song because it is so short. I will teach it to you. I think we will get the whole on one video.
The chords you play are G, first of all, your guitar is tuned down half the step. When you look at the tab, you might not notice it because it does not say, tune your guitar down half step. But if you look where it gives you the chord structures to the left, you see, it usually says, E, A, D, G, B, E in the left, this one says Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb. So make sure you tune your guitar down half the steps.
The first chord you are going to make is the G. So put your middle finger, third fret, I hope you can see that, middle finger, third fret, low E. Make sure your pointer finger is on the second fret. Middle to open and this bottom two, your B and your high E string. I want your ring and pinky fingers on the third fret and then you go to C add9, all you do is pick these top two fingers up right here and you move them down the string. So, instead of this one, third fret on the E string, it goes to the third fret on the A and this one was second fret on the A, it goes to second fret on the D. So, that is the whole intro, it is G.

Then in the verse, that is all the verses, the first chord lines are just this, G.

And then back to G. When it gets to the fifth line of the verse, it says, “Though I tried not to hurt you” it goes to the D, with D, you want to put your pointer finger on the second fret of the G string, it is your fourth string down from the top, third at the bottom and then you will notice your ring finger goes on the third fret of the B string which as the same place it is for the G and the C add9. It is that ring finger, do not move it and then you go to the D. Just pick. And you go to that D, you pick, all your fingers over that ring, put your pointer finger down here on the third string up from the bottom, fourth string up from the top, the G string, second fret then your high E, put your middle finger on the second fret. All right, that is your D. “Though I tried not to hurt you.” “Though I tried” switch to the C. So that C, you want to have your ring finger on the second string down your A string, third fret, ring finger. Next string down, your D string, middle finger second fret, open string, then pointer finger on the first fret of your B string. That is your C. “Though I tried but I guess that’s what they say.” “I guess that’s why they say” that is the chords. “Every rose has its thorn” this is G. [Demonstration] C add9. and then it is G, C add9, “Just like every”, G, “Cowboy” D, “sings a sad, sad song.” “Every rose,” G, has its thorn, C, and then you will get that ring out. So that is what goes in the bridge and the solo. You can just strum, G, C add9, G, C add9, just like the intro if you want or you can learn the solo, play with body with electric.
Verse two, it is the same as verse one then you get to the chorus, same as the chorus in the beginning. The bridge, the bridge is, “Though its been while now, I still feel so much pain like a knife that cuts you the wound heals, but the scar, that scar remains,” and that, you just go from E Minor, “Though its been a while now,” it is E Minor, D, to C, to G, back to same, E Minor. So it is just E Minor to D, to C, and G. When you cover E Minor earlier, go down the second string or A string, pointer finger second fret, then the D string, third string down from the top, middle finger, second fret. Really easy.
