All right guys, one of my very songs is to cover and play is “Here Without You” by Three Doors Down. I have got a lot of people who have commented on my cover of it and on my videos, they wan to learn how to play it. So, this is going to be a first part of two part instructional. The first part, I am going to show you the part you can pick during the intro and the verse and then the second part is going to be the chorus. But the intro and verse, it is going to be really the only chords you need to know are A Minor and the G and F. But start on the A Minor, which is your capo is on the first fret, as you can see, we are going to start now with open, open, third fret, middle finger, third fret, ring finger, first fret, pointer and then open.
And the picking pattern we are going to number the strings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6 like I always do. What you are going to do on this one is you are going to play 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, take your pointer finger off, 5, 4, 3, 5, 4, put your pointer finger back on, 5, 4, 3. So it goes like this. [Demonstration]. Okay, so 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, pointer finger off, 5, 4, 3, 5, 3, pointer finger on, 5, 4, 3. And then from that you are going to move into a G which put middle finger here, the third fret and the pointer finger here, the second fret and you are going to play. [Demonstration]. You are going to play 1, 2, 3, 5, 4, 3 and then you put your pointer finger on the first fret, it go. So you are going to play, 1, 2, 3, 5, 4, 3, put your pointer finger up here on the B string, first fret and you are going to play, 5, 4, 3, 5, 3 [Demonstration]. You are going to play, 1, 2, 3, 5, 4, 3, pointer finger up here, first fret up here. We are going to play 5, 4, 3 and then take your pointer finger off and play 5, 3 and then your going to put your pointer finger back on and play 5, then slide up to the third fret. So it is going to be, [Demonstration], like that.
I am going to have tab on this so do not worry. But, I am just trying to get through this quickly and you go, do practice with the tabs on the video and get it figured out. That is the first part. So, that part all together, it sound like this one, [Demonstration].
Then second part is the very same beginning is the intro, this part, [Demonstration]. It is the same part. But one thing is different, instead of one of the G, and into this part, you are going to go into an F which I play the F, you have it open, ring finger, third fret, pinky finger, third fret, middle finger second and pointer fret and the last string is open. And you are going to straight to that. So it goes like this [Demonstration]. Second part [Demonstration]. So the second part, I actually did the whole [Demonstration]. And go straight to an F and you are going to play 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3 to 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, string to the G, you are going to play, [Demonstration]. So it is going to play, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 4, 3, 5, 4, 3 --
