Here is the next one. This is a request that I got from my buddies that I met on the military. And he said that overseas, they hear this song playing a lot and the guys always sit around and sing it. So this is definitely one that I want to get out. I appreciate the request and all the people on service and all the armed service men, army, navy, military, marines, everyone. Let us get into the song.
The intro – you can put your own modifications on this. The way you are going to start it is you are going to start on the 2nd string on your A string. Put your pointer finger on the 5th fret of your A string, 2nd string down. Once you are going to play, you are going to play 5th fret here and put your ring finger on the 7th fret of your 3rd string down or D string. Then you are going to play 5, then you put 5th fret of A string first and play this D string on the 7th, slide to 9, then play 7 again. So it is 5 on A, then 7, slide to 9, 7 on your D string. Then go back to the 5th fret of your A string to play and then play back then go back to the ring finger on the 7th fret of your D string and play it. That one note on the 7th slide to 9, then pointer finger back on the 5th fret of your D string so it sounds like this.
So that is your 4th bar. And that is like two seconds. The way that I found this tab – I think it sounds pretty good if you are going to go down to your 4th string down which is your G string. You are going to play open and then point your finger on the 2nd fret. Then you are going to play on the D string – A, D, play open, put your pointer finger 4th fret. You can play open on the 4th string down your G string. Then open, four, go up to your string above you, your G string and then play it open and four. Back down on the 4th fret then you are going to play open on the D string, hammer on the 2nd fret, play these two strings below it which is your G and B open. On the G string, play open in the 2nd fret, then on your D string, you play open, four, open G string, back on the 4th of your D, then open with the hammer on the two on your D string and play. Open hammer on two on the D string, play G, B string then you are going to play your G string with your pointer finger on 2nd fret then pull off. So the way you did this is there is a 4th string down to the G string. Your pointer finger on the 2nd fret and play, put your pointer finger off. Then put your ring finger on the 4th fret of your D string. So you are going to play the D string, 4th fret. There are two ways to do this. You go like this or this because this note here, 5th fret of your D string, and your G string are the same note. So do two pull off on the G string then 4th fret on your D string and then you can go back to an open G or 5th fret on your A.
Then the verse is just G, your middle finger is on the 3rd fret of this top string low E, 2nd string down your pointer finger is on the 2nd fret, middle two are open and then your ring and pinky going to the 3rd frets. So we go G, D/F#, which all that means is you make this D with your pointer finger on your D string 2nd fret to the 4th string down so B string, ring finger 3rd fret in your high E at the very bottom string of your 2nd fret. All you are doing with that is you want to put your thumb up here that is why it is called B/F# because this is E string and then you have F note here at the 1st fret and then 2nd fret is F# so that is why it is called D/F#. This is the D chord with your F#, that is that means. So you got G then D/F# then E minor, C, D, G. G, D/F#, Bm, then in the chorus go C, Em, A, C, D, C, Em, F, D, Dsus back to the D.
