Hey guys, what is up? It is Aaron. This one I want to do is also by Secondhand Serenade. It is called “It is not Over”. It is a pretty cool song. It is the first time I heard it.
Put your capo when you want to request for the same song. Put your capo on the 2nd fret, standard tuning, E, A, D, G, B, E, capo on the 2nd fret.
The intro is kind of going to be something like this.
[Demo]
Alright. So basically, all I did on that is I am picking the bottom three strings the G, B, E. I am picking G, B, E, B, G, B, E. Switching my pointer finger G, B, E, B, G, B, E, B. And the four location that my pointer finger is going from is on the 9th fret above the capo which is your 11th fret.
So, come up here 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Alright, and your pointer finger is going to go on the G string. So, I am going to say the fret that this is on then B, E. So, you are like 9, B, E, B, 9, B, E, B. 4, B, E, B, 4, B, E, B, 6.
6, B, E, B, 6, B, E, B. 2, B, E, B, 2, B, E, B, 2, B, E, B.
Alright, when I am saying two, it is two above the capo. So, it is how it is tabbed over here if you are going to look to it.
Sorry if I am not looking directly in the camera, I am actually looking at my screen. The camera is right above it.
That is for the intro and for the verse. There is a little bit of a change in that riff just at the very end. It is actually add on a little bit whenever you play it just before the chorus.
So, if you listen, the intro would just be that part that is played earlier but right before the chords it will be this whole,
[Demo]
Then it is just 1, 2, 3, 4. 1, 2, 3, 4. And stopping like it does in the first time in the intro.
It will go, we will do that twice. So you go,
[Demo]
Then it goes on the chorus. For the chorus, I got here tabs and chords too on this tab over here. It is a good tab I found.
I do not know who made it, I did not look but it is a good tab. So, you do that for the intro and verse if you want to pick. You can also use two guitars. The first guitar can play then whole like,
[Demo]
All of that. And then the second guitar can play the strumming. But as far as the strumming goes, that is what I am going to teach you.
Your capo is on the 2nd fret. The four chords you are going to play there on the verse is E, and then a B where you are barring across 2nd fret above capo. Bottom five strings and then your ring finger comes and barre it across the 4th fret above the capo on your D, G, and B. So, it is something like this.
Down, down, down, up, up, down, down, up, down, up. To the B. Down, down, down, up, up, down, down, up, down, up. Then you slide that, you slide the main barre that you have up here. Slide that two more frets here on the 4th fret. Put your middle finger down on the 2nd string up from the bottom which is your B string on the 5th fret above the capo and then your ring and pinky is on the 6th fret above the capo on the two middle strings.
[Demo]
So, it is down, down, down, up, up, down, down, up, down, up. Then you slide down and have an A. You can barre it or whatever you want to play your A. Down, down, down, up, up, down, down, up, down, up. So, I will play this. It is something like this.
[Demo]
Alright, that is the same strum pattern all the way through. The chorus is the exact same chord progression as the verse. It is E, B, C#m to A. The only thing that can kind of get a little bit confusing is when you get to the bridge. In the bridge, you add this chords that has not been there yet called F#m.
All that is, is two frets above the capo. You are going to barre across this low E and your barre is actually two frets above the capo on all the strings. Then take your ring and pinky and put them on the 2nd, 3rd strings down from the top, the A and B. Put them on the 4th fret.
[Demo]
That is your F#m. Now, whenever you play the F#m, the A always follows it. And there is really like two quick beats. It is like,
[Demo]
So, with the bridge, it goes F#m to A to E. So, that is the F#m playing, down, down, down then to the A. So, down, down, down.
[Demo]
So, with the F#m, Down, down, down
