Hey guys, what is up? It is Aaron. This next lesson is on a song by Keith Urban called Making Memories of Us. It is a request for a guy out there who were a man nameless that wants to play this song for his wife at their wedding.
So, I figured it is a song that I want to do and I figured that I could do that for him. If you are watching this, good luck and good luck to your marriage.
Alright, to start up the intro, it sounds sort of something like this.

Alright, he does that twice. It is really simple. I tried to find a way to turn it into basically just two fingers. Just your pointer finger and your ring which is pretty much all you need on this.
Alright, so we are on standard tuning by the way. Sorry, I did not mention that.
What I want you to do is I want you to take your ring finger and stick it on the 4th fret of your 3rd string down from the top, your D string.
So, that string over here.
You can see I am moving it.
And the first thing you are going to play is you are going to play that D string on the 4th fret. You are going to play that and slide it up to the 6th fret.

So, D string 4th fret, play that first note.

Slide your ring finger up to the 6th fret. So, 4 to 6 on the D string. The next note you are going to play is on the string below that, the G string on the 4th fret.

And I just stick my pointer finger down and try to get this up this way. I just stick my pointer finger down here. You can also barre if you want to play that next note because that is the first note.

That slide. Second note is the 4th fret of the G string.

With your pointer and then the next note is actually back down on the 4th fret of your D string.

So, from the beginning 4th fret of your D string play it once, slide through 6th then you play the 4th fret of your D string. Slide that ring finger back down to the 4th fret of your D string. Play that then play 2 on the D string again 2nd fret.
So, then you are going to go, start the whole thing.

Do that twice.

And after the second time through, that last note you hit there on the D string, 2nd fret, you are going to play the 1st fret one time then back to the 2nd fret. Play it once.

Once you play that the 2nd time through, you are going to go at the 1rst fret, play that once. In the D string, on the 2nd fret play two then 2 slide to 4 and then back to 2.
So, from the top, pointer finger D string 4th fret.

4th string, the G. 4th fret to D, 2nd fret to D. Start out with 4 to 6 on D. 4th on the G. 4th on the D. 2 on the D then 1 on the D.
2 on the D 2 to 4 then back to 2 on the D.
Alright, that is the intro.
The chords are pretty simple. The chords for it are an E which is just this right here.

A B. With a B, you barre across the 2nd fret on the bottom five strings because low E is muted. You do not play it. And then you take your ring and do like kind of a mini-bar there on the 4th fret. So, B is this.

Then the A is just, you have your fingers across the D, G, and B strings, 2nd fret. That is an A.

For the G#m7, I just play barre across the 4th fret and then stick your ring there on the 6th fret of your A string. So, it is all across the 4th and then at 6th fret on the 2nd string down.

So, it sounds like that.
The other chord is the C#m. That is the barre across the 4th fret. Middle finger goes on the B string, 5th fret. Ring and pinky are on the D and G, 6th fret.

That is how the chords are. So, the intro, once you play the intro, the chord progression of the verse is E,

Actually, on the second time it goes E to B.
