Hi guys! Next one is this Rockstar by Nickelback. We got five chords. I may have to play bar chords. If you want to transpose it, that is a big word if you do not know how it ends up or it means if you want to change. Do you want to use bar or want to use open chords? That is cool. There is an A, a D, a G, a C and F. Well, usually to get between this is that you take for the A, all right but the verse goes A to G—I am sorry—A to D, G-C-A. That is it. I am going to teach you the real chords.
So, for your A bar across the 5th fret all you strength. Stick your ring and pinky in the 2nd, 3rd strings down on the 7th fret. So you get to ring A string at 7th fret. You got pinky on the D string at 7rd fret and your middle finger; G string 6th fret. That is the A. So you are going to play on through this. To get the D from that, okay, all you have to do move all these fingers down one. So you are, in so far, at six, your bar at the bottom five, instead your ring and pinky be on the A and D strings, it is now on D and G which puts your middle on the same and still on 6th fret and this still sits, but now your middle is going to be on B string instead of the G. This is your D and so.
If it sounds wrong, you make sure you are not strumming this E. I just strum the A,D and G, had to strum the second, third and fourth. And then, you are going to slide down two frets and move everything back up. So, it is going to be same chord as you where up here, the very first chord, your A. This one down here, so you are going to go A, down G, down here--this was D. A to D, slide down the bar across all six strings, 3rd fret; ring and pinky on A and D strings 5th fret and then middle in the G string 4th fret. Okay, this is your G and then C the same thing you did from A to D. You just move everything down so it turns a G into the C.
I just try to play the A, D and G strings. In all the chording there is F. What is an F? Okay. Up here you have with your A, this was your G, slide two more down, so it is one bar across the first fret on six strings, that is an F. So, your finger are in exact the same positioning except here, your bar is on the 5th fret with the A, with the G it is on the 3rd fret and with the F it is on the 1st fret. So the rest these fingers are just normal. If you want to learn about bar chords, search to there somewhere, I have two lessons on to explain bar chords, pretty wild thing.
Then, I have to start in there. So for the verse, it is like, you know, “I am through with standing in line to clubs we’ll never get in. It’s like the bottom of the ninth and I’m never gonna win. This life hasn’t turned out” so, down, down and down, up. “Turned out quite” C; down, down and down, up. “The way I wanted it to be”, back up here to the first chord, an A. So, “Through with standing in line”, D to G to C to A, check that. This tab also at the top has pictures. It has—if you look at it, it has E-A-D-G-B-E. So basically, this is E-A-D-G-B-E. Whatever numbers on that line that is what fret your finger is on.
So the A chord is just a bar across here and then it looks like this. The bar shows five on this string; this string to this string. That just means you have a bar because obviously you cannot have three fingers here and then have something over six and seven because you do not have six fingers. So, just bar across 5th fret, okay. And then like on the G string it is at six fret. That is where your middle finger is. And then set of sevens on A and D line, I mean 7th fret of the A and D string. All right, so that is your A. Let us say we read that; pretty self explaining, toward the verses all the same. It goes with four verses. They are beginning A-D and then G-C-A; A-D-G-C-A, A-D-G-C-A.
Chorus is like, “I am gonna trade this life for fortune and fame. I’d even cut my hair and change my name.” It says the first line is C, so you are going to play open chords when you play, but by doing bar chords are much better. Then it starts into the chorus, “‘Cause we all just want to be big rockstars” is your A. “And live in hilltop houses” so that near is y
