Hi guys, the next video is by band called Eisley. I hope I pronounced that right. I have heard them but I got a request for called Ten Cent Blues.
For this song, it is at standard tuning. I will just check my tone. Standard tuning and your capo is actually on the 1st fret. So, standard tuning, put your capo on the 1st fret. Someone actually showed me that below here, one of the people who check my videos, if you do not have a capo, you can actually put like a pen. Although I cannot do it right now for you but you actually put a pen across. I will pretend my fingers are pen and you take a rubber band and wrap them around here and bring under and wrap around here will tie. That actually makes the capo. So, that is cool if you do not have a capo, you try to play the song and try that on.
Alright. This song is really going to be pretty easy. It is made up of three chords I think. Yes, three chords. The chords are made up of are G.
[Demo]
I bet you know what is.
Middle finger up with forefinger, G. So, middle finger on the 3rd fret above your capo. So, 1, 2, 3 above your capo which is 4th fret with the capo on one.
Pointer finger on the 2nd fret above the capo on the A string and then your two fingers are here below are the B and high E.
[Demo]
With your ring on the B and your pinky on the high E, both on the 3rd fret above the capo then you have your Am with your pointer finger on the B string, 1st fret above your capo and then middle and ring are on the middle two strings, the D and G strings in the 2nd fret. Alright.
And then C. You keep your Am but instead of having your ring finger here, you put it on the A strings 3rd fret.
[Demo]
Alright. I tried to find a good version of the Eisley song. I probably going to look for that one with actually kind of a girl’s cover named KLafied. It is like a really acoustic cover and I think she really did a great job with the voice and everything. So, as part of getting the strum pattern down, I actually want to play her cover and strum along with it. I have not asked her yet but I do not she will mind. So, check her cover if you like the song and you want to learn to play it. But the basic kind of verses is like down, down, up, up, down, up, down, down, up, down, up. Up, down, up, down, down, up. Up, down, up, down, down, up. Up, down, up.
[Demo]
So, down, down, up, up, down, up, down. Down, up, up, down. So, it is down, down, up, up, down, up, down, up, down, down, up. Up, down, up, down, down, up. Up, down, up, down, down, up. Up, down, up.
The only time it changes is it is like one part like in the first verse, you got C, G, to Am, C, Am. Then it goes C to C and then on the second C it goes down, down, up, up, down, up, down. Down, down, up, up, down, up, down, down, up.
So, most of them are two beats like down, down, up, up, down, up, down. Down, up, up, down, up.
[Demo]
With that one is just down, down, up, up, down, up. One beat then it switches. Down, down, up, up, down, up.
So, I am going to play her cover and strum along with it. I hope she does not mind. If she does then I have to redo the video but hopefully she does not.
So, here is her cover and we are going to start with the capo on the 1st fret.
[Demo]
So, G, Am, C. down, down, up, up, down, up, down, down, up. Then switch to Am then C. Am, C, D, Am, C, Am, C, D, E, Am, C, Am, C, D, Am, C, Am, C, D, Am, C, D, Am.
Down, down, up, up, down, up, C, Am, D, E, Am, E, Am, C, to C. Am, C, Am, C, D, Am, C, Am, C, Am, Am again, D, Am, D, Am.
Am, C, Am, Am, C, Am, then the last one G.
So, check the tabs out. Check out kLafied’s cover. I put the link of it too because I really think it is one of the best covers out there of anyone that has done it even the real band. So, check it out! Thanks guys. See you.
