Hey guys what is up, it is Aaron again. This next one I am going to do right here is called “The Good Stuff” by Kenny Chesney. It is a request from a girl that I have known here, she is pretty cool. Her name is Kayla, so Kayla this is your request. The tab that I am going to send you that is going to be an info like two tabs. The first one is going to be for the intro which is really short and it is not really difficult so it might seem hard at first, but you guys are going to pick it up really quick.
On that tab, I am just going to teach like the very first, the beginning part of the intro, after that, it is just some picking that I myself did not learn, I just, you know pulled the song a minute ago. But I want to teach you the chords too. So, the intro sounds something like this.
[Demonstration]
Something like that. So, basically what you are doing is, you are going to play the 1st, this 1st note, see, like that.
So, you are going to take your pointer finger and put it on the B string. By the way it is in standard tuning. The only reason I have the capo on is because my guitar is tuned down a half step. So, if yours is in standard tuning you do not need the capo. So, just everything I teach you, pretend like the capo is not there.
So, on the 1st fret, you are going to take your pointer finger and you are going to put it on B string which is your next to the last string at the bottom and you are going to put your ring finger or your middle finger on the 2nd part of your G. The 1st note you are going to play is, you are going to play the bottom three strings and slide this up so your pointer finger is going from the 1st fret on the B string to the 3rd fret and your middle finger goes from the 2nd G string to 4th string.
All right, so you are going to play that.
[Demonstration]
You are going to play it, slide it up and play it again on the way down. When you get to the bottom you are going to pull these two fingers off. All that means is when you are pulling, it is almost like you just pull your hands down like this way and you make that note. So, with your fingers there, you are going to play.
[Demonstration]
Strum it once up to 3rd and 4th strum it again, slide down, and pull off when you get to the bottom.
After you do that, you are going to play.
[Demonstration]
Open, 2nd fret, open on the D string, so together it sounds like--
[Demonstration]
Like that . Another way to make it quicker, instead of plucking when you play this, actually just do this , just do this whole part.
[Demonstration]
Then put your ring finger, it goes straight up on the 2nd fret of this D string, play it and pull your finger down, like off, like that, you make that note. Alright, and that is how you are going to get that note, then you go straight to the 3rd fret, that is your base note, and then you can do the picking if you want.
[Demonstration]
See, and then it goes back up to D, to Em, back to D, and that picking I am doing there, like starting with the G, I am just playing the low E string, the base note, then I am playing the D, G, E. I am playing the, like E, D, G then the high E with my pinky finger, 3rd fret and then you should not have your ring finger, you can actually just put your ring finger on the low E and your pinky finger on the high E. That is it and you play E, D, G then high E, B, G, D then you go back to D chord and you just play D so D, G, B, E, B, G, Em and then you are going to play again, the D, G, B, E, B, G and then back to D again, and then you play D, G, B, D, B ,G, like that.
[Demonstration]
So, you put that together and it sounds like this.
[Demonstration]
And then if the chord you strum there at the end or C so, you play--
[Demonstration]
Just like that.
That is the intro. All right, the chords in the song are G. You know what a G is, low E string going to have 3rd fret up, middle finger on low E, 2nd fret pointer finger on the A string and then this bottom two 3rd fret, are your ring and pinky. You can also play the G this way, but I like playing it four fingers. Alright so, “me an’ my lady had our”
