Hey guys, what is up? This is “Tonight I Wanna Cry” by Keith Urban. This one might be a little shaky. Just took a walk and another guy’s video on YouTube, acoustic cover, liked the way you played it. But, the Intro, the way I am going to learn it on standard tuning and basically, I am going to start at G which is top string.
You are going to go III fret middle finger, next string down your pointer finger II fret, these notes are open. Then your ring finger and pinky, you are going to go on the III fret and III fret of your B and E. And the main thing, I am going to do is I am going to kind of strum down arpeggio and we go,
[Demonstration]
So, we are going to play the first four strings.
[Demonstration]
And them, I am going to go the same where we go. I am going to play on the E, A, D, G, B string -- D string, I am sorry, fourth one down from top E, A, D, G. You are going to play,
[Demonstration]
Which is the C.
[Demonstration]
Okay, so I am actually going to play.
[Demonstration]
For the first three like.
[Demonstration]
And wait a second and then play the fourth string open.
[Demonstration]
And you get open.
[Demonstration]
2, 4, play that with your open and then pointer finger is on the same fret.
[Demonstration]
Right there on the fourth.
[Demonstration]
And then off the second again. So,
[Demonstration]
Then four.
[Demonstration]
See.
[Demonstration]
Okay,
[Demonstration]
And then string above, you got to go.
[Demonstration]
Open and two, so, I will see if I can run that whole thing again. I will put tabs up here, by the time the beats up to up 10 so already up. Right now, I am just kind of wing out there. So, we are going to go in G, four finger G, you got first part middle finger. Next turn down pointer finger II fret, middle two open, ring finger III fret, a pinky finger III fret. And, you going to put the first three strings
[Demonstration]
And the four string down, which is your D string you are going to go.
[Demonstration]
Now, to make sure half which is your D string, you are going to go up one string and you play.
[Demonstration]
Open in two, so that together song like this,
[Demonstration]
And then, you could kind of put your variations in there after wards, but think of something.
[Demonstration]
And then, it is like Cadd9, you can go like,
[Demonstration]
Or anything like that, just as you can picks it or strum at Cadd9 if you want it.
[Demonstration]
So you are good at that, putting Intro. So, whenever you get up from that G down the one the Intro to the Cadd9. That is basically the same thing as four-finger G. You leave your pinky and ring finger the same place in that III fret in above two strings. And whereas the four, you are on the top two strings, third, second move it down. So, this one is open, then you have third, second, same fingers.
So, that is, go over the Intro the people are going to recognize. This part as the song goes the Verse. It is like one and a half, so you get the 9’s like,
[Demonstration]
“Pictures of you” goes into Em7 which I like to play just to make it easier. So, these two fingers do not move. Keeping these two on the III fret ring, pinky, but point you two fingers up here well like an Em. So, you have open on top string and then II fret pointer finger, and the next string down, your third string down the II fret to middle finger.
So, there is pictures of you
[Demonstration]
Down on the wall is a Bm
[Demonstration]
The Bm is barre across the whole string II fret, actually, it is the first five that I just barre across all of them because it is easier for me. Then you put you middle finger on the III fret of you second string up.
[Demonstration]
So, barre in across all these on the same fret, III fret and middle finger is in the second string up [Demonstration] B string, then your ring finger and pinky are going to go on the IV fret, and they are on your two middle strings.
[Demonstration]
That is your Bm --
[Demonstration]
And it goes back to your Em7 again --
[Demonstration]
And then back to your Bm --
[Demonstration]
So,
