Alright guys. This is Aaron. This is the last song that I am going to put up tonight is called “Unwell” by Matchbox20. It is really pretty easy.
There are a few chords and there is a D chord. There is an E, an A, and F#m. The F#m, you want to take your pointer finger bar across the 2nd fret all the strings and then you want to take your ring and pinky and put them on the 4th fret of the A and D string.
So, that is how it sounds like and one of the bar chords is C#m. For that you are going to bar across the bottom part strings on the 4th fret then you are going to take your middle finger pull on the 5th fret of your B string and then your pinky is going to on the G string 6th fret, your ring will go to D string 6th fret.
[Demonstration]
That is your C#m. We will look that through it if there are other ones. I am going to look at it. I guess those are the only chords.
All right, so, I am going to play this song and strum along with you and show you how it starts. When I play this, I just play like one strum for the first couple verses and you can sort of play that part if you want. I will play the main part I am not going to waste my time. On the top of that we will have that.
The first one is D, E. All day, A
Staring at the ceiling. D, E, A.
F#m, D, E, F#m.
Same thing again.
D, E, A, F#m, D, E. C #m, E, A, E, C#m, D, A, E, A, E, C#m, E. E, C#m, E, D.
Then A. C#m, D, E, F#m. D, E, A, F#m, D. C#m, D, E, D, C#m, D, E, A.
Then goes back to the chorus again. After the second chorus, there goes to the bridge. It says “I have been talking to my sleep,” which is F#m. And all the strum pattern you need is down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down switch. That is for the bridge, it means down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, down, up, down, up, down.
Now, as far as you sing the “like I’m talking to her” chorus, “I'm not crazy,” I am going C.
[Demonstration]
I am using down, down. To down, down, down, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up. So, I am going four down strums.
[Demonstration]
Down, down, down, down, up, up, down, up, down, up, down, up. Alright. So, down, down, down, down, up, up, down, up down, up. That is all I am using for that. Then switch.
[Demonstration]
So, I am going to look up through this tab one more time. At the end is “yes, a yeah, how I used to be,” D. “How I use to be,” F#m to E. “Well I’m just a little unwell” and for the “How I used to be. How I used to be, I’m just a little unwell” is just F#m to E.
[Demonstration]
If you are not good with barre chords either, one way to make a F#m to E really easy is to play your E with your middle finger on your G string 1st fret, ring finger 2nd fret on your A string, and pinky 2nd fret on your E string.
[Demonstration]
Because then to go to the F#m, you can slide with this middle finger up, slide this two up to the 4th fret and put your bar down and then you end with an A,“how I used to be, I’m just a little unwell.”
So, questions or comments, we leave them or send me a message and I will see what I can do for you. See you guys.
