Hey guys! It is Darren. This next video is song by Slipknot. It is called Vermillion part two. There is two different ways to play it. If you go to Ultimate Guitar there is way that I think this is the way they play it and it is in like a weird tuning. But I found the tab that allowed me to play in standard tuning. So, I do not feel like tuning my guitar and then all night and breaking string instead of someone be ready for work. So, I am going to teach you how to play it standard.
All right, there is two guitars. The first guitar during the intro plays this. You start on your D string; pointer finger on the 6th fret, ring finger on 8th fret, all right. You are going to play on the D string at 6, 8 to 6, 8. Then you are going to stick that the middle finger right now down around the 7th fret of your A string and then you will play 7. Then, pointer finger to 6 and then you are going to play. All right, sounds complicated. It is not complicated, it is really easy. So, you are going to play 6-8-7-6. Then you are going to play again. All you do is you play the note. You just put your pointer finger, make your middle finger down one and pull it off and you put your pointer finger off, so.
All you got to do is practice slamming at middle finger down making that noise, just kind of bounce off. And then put your pointer finger off. Once you do that you are going to see. Then you go down here put your pointer finger on the 4th fret, ring finger on the 6th fret of the E and A string and you go like that.
Guitar two plays this. They play—you bar across four strings. You bar across the top two strings, actually you bar across to anywhere you want to be. You wanted tap the two strings that you were going to play on the 4th fret. Then, you are going to take your ring and pinky. Put them on the 6th fret over your D and G string and then you are going to—that is what guitar two strums like 16 times. It is like. And then there is one part there at the end that will play—you just slide up bar down where your top two strings are covered on the 2nd fret and then the next two down, your D and G on 4th fret. You play that seven times. And that one strum you open everything up so you float your fingers up. All right, that is what guitar two plays. So, guitar one is this lower riff like that. And then guitar two is 4 and 6, 16 times. I just count it and slide that down to the 2nd and 4th fret and back up like that.
That is what you do play during the intro and verse. For the chorus, both guitars just play this. Just bar across 5th fret and then stick your ring and pinky on the A and D,2nd and 3rd strings down from top 7th fret. You play it 17, I have to think those times says it could be right or wrong. So, like that, all right.
Now the bridge; this is the first time I am looking in this actually so we are just going to go in. All right, for guitar one there in the bridge you are going to just do the simple thing. You are going to go. That is it. So, it is all on the B string, all right. And you are just going 3-2-3-2. So, just put your pointer finger on 2nd fret, ring finger is 3rdyou’re your middle finger through it and just play 3-2-3-2-3-2-3-2-3-2-3-2-3-2-3-2. It looks like he does that the entire time. So, guitar one does that. I do not know how the rhythm goes because I have not listened on that part of the song yet. But it go 14 times. So it goes and does it 14 times.
All right, guitar two is a little different. Guitar two goes on the G string. It goes 4-6-7-6-4-6. Okay. So the first part is 4-6-7-6, all on at G string. Then, the second part of bridge part two is 4-6 and then 8th fret on your B string, and then 7th fret on B string, so 8-7. So, 4-6 on the G, 8-7 on the B. Then it goes, again, back to the G string 4-6-7-6 and then it goes last time it is just on the G string; it is 4-6. That is how it ends.
Alright! There is also a solo with the violin. You can play the solo like this on the G string. You can play 4-6-7, open, 2-6 then 4-3-4-9-7. All right, this is only tab and that so you can check it out. But really, it is 4-6-7-0 then 2-6-
