Hello guys. What is up? This is Aaron. This video is actually is going to be, its “Wake Me Up When September Ends” by Greenday. There were a lot of parts. The tab that is going to be over here is kind of advanced. So, I am just going to show you the kind of intro, the verse and then I want you to go from there. The bridge, just play the chords unless you want to look at this tab and then I am going to show you the chords of the chorus.
So, this is kind of how I want to show you how to play it on one guitar. So, what I want you do is, you are in standard tuning, take your pointer finger and stick it on your B string on the 3rd fret, so 1, 2, 3, 4, 5th string down from the top, 3rd fret, this note. Skip a string and on the 3rd string down put your ring finger.
Basically you are going to go--

It is just 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 3, 4, 5, pause. Do that four times and you do the fifth time.

Then you are going to slide this ring finger down. So, this ring finger is now on the 4th fret.

You do that twice, you go--

Then I take and put my pinky finger or pointer finger down here on the 3rd string down, 2nd fret and I take my ring finger move it up to this, where the finger was earlier on the B string 3rd fret, and you go--

Then you take your pointer finger up and then I just strum it.

Because it goes from the C to a Cm to a G to a G. So, I just make the barre chord. So at C, you are going to be barring across the bottom five strings, pointer finger across the 3rd fret. Then you can take your ring finger, stick it on the B string and that is actually going to be the 5th string on top of 4th fret and then on your ring and pinky they are going on the 3rd and 4th strings down, 5th fret.
So, bar across 5 here, 5 strings in 3rd fret and then make that kind of mini bar, right there, across on the 5th fret across D, G, B strings, so you are going to kind of strum that.

Then lift that up to make to the minor chord. So, you are going to have bar across 5 then your middle is going to go on your B string 4th fret and then ring and pinky on the 3rd and 4th strings down 5th fret. So, you are going to go.

G for two measures.
So, the intro is just this.

So, the intro is--

So, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3; one measure and you play that four measures. So, you play that a total of 8 times, really. Then you go the verse where you go 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 switch.

Then after the second time you go like this.

Then it goes into this.

The bridge has a kind of a special picking pattern you can do. I just like to do Em which is open, pointer finger 2nd ring, middle in the 2nd open, open, open.

To Bm, bar across 2nd fret, ring finger 3rd fret, 5th string down, ring and pinky on the 3rd 4th strings down on 4th fret.

That is your Bm to your C to G, Bm, and second time through it.

Just end on the D. So, I am just doing down strums for all of that.
The chorus is four chords, you are going to take your bar across the 3rd fret and you are going to make that mini bar across the 5th. You are going to take your bar across 3rd and mini bar across 5th. You are going to play just the middle 4th string if you can.

So, that is the one we did at the very end of the verse. S,o you went from a C.

To this where you move up.

You play the top 3’s. So, 3, 5, 5.

And you play 1, 2, 3, 4 and then you move that pointer finger down. So, that is how it sounds. I will play it one more time real quick.
