All right, I got another video. This time I am going to do “What hurts the most” by Rascal Flatts. It is standard tuning, key it both 1st fret. Then put your ring finger on the B string, it is the 2nd string up from the bottom, I call it number 5. And it is on the 3rd fret, and what we are going to do here is we are going to play this one first and you are going to play the A string. Hand on the 2nd and on the 3rd, just play it one time and then if you can hammer on, you can take your middle finger off and play the 2nd, play it, open. Then you are going to play the 3rd fret, 1st string and then open. And once you get comfortable with that, you speed it up, it sounds like this. All right, I will play it one more time, really so, open, hammer on 2, 3, play 2, open, 3, open, all right, once you get that, once you finish that little rift you are going to go straight into a D, without your middle finger. So it is going to look like this. So it goes like this. Do not go into the D yet, if you play that, you just want to put your pointer finger on the 3rd string down the 2nd fret. And you put your pointer finger, 2nd fret, 3rd string down, you go, play it down from the A string, down to the D string. And switch to the D without the middle. And just play the bottom 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. So, I will start slowly from the top.
[Demonstration]
And switch to the Cadd9 which is like a four finger G, the fingers down here, the pointer finger on the third string, 2nd fret, middle finger on the 2nd string down the 3rd fret and you are going to go 2, 3, 4, 5, 4. So from the very beginning, so, I am going to play it to you one more time quick so that you can kind off know what the rhythm is when playing that.
[Demonstration]
So that is the whole intro there and you can play that whenever you want to as the chorus, verse, whatever you want. But it is frustrating first, stick with it. That -- stiff to me at first, it is tough at first when you try to learn this song but you will get it and then it is a really good song to play for people who are good in picking out.
As far as chords, you go, the verse, so that is Em7. So, pinky and ring finger right down the 3rd fret, the bottom two strings and then pointer middle, the and frets on the 2nd and 3rd string down. And it just like this.
[Demonstration]
C, Em7, D, Cadd9, D, I will have this in the -- attached to it. Listen to the song and pick out whatever strumming pattern you want. So -- [Demonstration].
So, I will have the chords in order. You can kind of have those in the song and get the feel for the strumming pattern. That right there that I just played is the 2nd and 3rd parts of the verse, it is Em7, D, C, D, Cadd9, D, Em7, D, Cadd9, and D. Actually this is one of the Ultimate Guitar tabs that I really like. So I am going to put the link to this tab in the information box so you can see the words and how it goes. But as far as strumming patterns goes, I am going to play the chorus really quick with the chords. I will say it out loud as a kind of transitioning. But this one, I might kind of rely -- and you guys are using the Ultimate Guitar page a little more other than the intro to learn this so I think that the video, I hope it will be helpful for the intro. But the rest of the song is just kind of playing along with the chords there is a whole lot of changes. Here is how the chorus goes.
[Demonstration]
The next is the verse.
[Demonstration]
I am going to have the link to the chords here on the information box. So, this is probably one of the least instructional videos really since it was kind of -- to this but the intro, I think its tough for the song to master. So, hopefully the video helped you get the intro down and if you have any questions or anything, let me know. And thanks a lot.
