I got a 1 chord, I want to get to the 6. I can either go 1, down to 7, down to 6, make it a nice major sounding progression, or I can go 1, 7, 3, 6, but the goal, the destination remains the same. I have got my starting point, I have got where I want to be. I can do what I want in between there and that's what a lot of songs do and so it's hard to figure out what they are doing if you understand this, 7-3-6, you are step ahead of anybody else, we're just picking at random keys. So that's how songs work.
Lastly, in addition to going from the 7 to the 6, you can also go from the 7 to 3, you try to get out and you go from the 7 back up to the 1. I have pretty much covered this, but let's look at it.
So you go, up from the 7 and after being, so from your 5, they're fairly coming straight on, sometimes people go... So they just take Ab chord, whether it's here or here or here, they put the 7th bass under it, they feel bass when they come home. So let's go to accent, the 5. Or you're coming from the 6. So all of this is used in worship.
So, let me just play a few of these progressions together and you try to listen for what I am playing. Let's see, see I am going, 1, 5, 4, 5, 7, 1, 3, 6, 2, 5, 1.
