Exercise and Keep Fit
Yes that is right. In today’s episode of learning English with Mr. Duncan we are going to talk about exercise. The general meaning of the word exercise is to train or to do something as a way of practice. There are many ways to exercise, for example you can run very fast around the streets and you neighbors will be very, very surprised or if you do not have so much energy you could jog. Jog, that is a slow run, very relaxing and easy on your body. Jogging, running, jogging, running.
Another word for exercise is keep fit. You keep fit. When you take exercise you keep your body fit. The word fit means healthy, it means a person who is in good health or good shape. There are many ways to stay healthy, you can lift weights like this. This is a very good exercise and it is very good for your muscles.
Swimming is also a very good exercise. Walking downstairs is also a good exercise and walking upstairs. Of course one of the most important ways to stay healthy is to eat the right food. The most important part of exercising is to make your body work. Your heart must beat fast, your body must get hot and of course you must sweat.
There are many ways to stay healthy. Take regular exercise. Do not smoke, do not drink too much. Make sure you have regular exercise everyday then your body will be healthy and strong. Keep fit is very good for you. It can help you to stay healthy, help you to stay young looking and of course it can help you to have a long life. I wish you have a long life. Stay healthy.
