Man: Now, another thing is if you having trouble in getting that study, say have some scale that you have to play. The best thing to do is use Metronome. So you once you have learned the notes, the next stage is getting everything study. So, you gone to the whole piece, you know it all more or less but then, you got a little random gaps in places were you slow down or hesitate or stop and stuff like that.
So, the next goal is to tying get it study. So to do that, you going to have to do clapping, you going to have to do a Metronome so with Metronome, go really-really slow. This is Metronome by the way,
(Demo)
You do not like the picture of my car? Yes, that is sexy.
So, you will just put it on, whatever. Put it to the beat that you need, have a little ticking back and forth,
(Demo)
You are getting sleepy, very sleepy.
You take the click in and then you play to whatever pulse of that. Most pieces will have a little tempo marking like 121 equals, and then will have a quarter notes and that means if you set it to a 121, every click will be one quarter notes. So if this would be like click, click, click, like that.
So, playing the notes then got in the tempo, get in steadiness. So, once you get the steadiness going and then you play the whole piece fluently without any gaps or stops and then also making sure that like even notes, like this
(Demo)
Jumping back in forth like
(Music Demo)
They are just going
(Music Demo)
Nice and steady. So there are not bumping forward fast and going slow again. You want everything nice study, study, study, study, nice and controlled. So ones you have everything controlled then, you going to have to add in the Dynamics. So adding the dynamics will depend on what piece you playing but all just assuming you will going to learn an air that is made in the broke period so that they have dynamics written them.
So on this, you got like P which stands for Piano which means “Soft” so they want it soft. And then you will use kind of like the phrases here to add in little tiny dynamics as well. You can do it is called the Shaping. So now on this, the piece starts out with
(Music Demo)
Anyway that was really horrible performance if you even call that. But, so Shaping just kind of the like right here. It is
(Music Demo)
Eventhough it just says Piano throughout in little cartages to raising and lowering, you what a kind of give it a body to it. So as it is getting higher, you can make it a little bit lighter
(Music Demo)
And then drop down
(Music Demo)
And then, it is getting little bit higher so,
(Music Demo)
And then
(Music Demo)
Just got a laugh of my horrible performances there so if you can understand that Shaping, does not always means that higher is louder that could mean that lower is louder is higher as softer.
Dynamics and Phrasing, they are both two indifferent things. Dynamics here like the Loudness and everything and then Phrasing is like you Touch, it like Legato here left.
Legato left come down. Legato up-left, come down. See separating and joining. Now, like to see here, we have got a little Staccato notes coming down but it is all join that means that they want it to sound together but they want a little of a touch
Anyway, contradicting itself, but showing you what the intention of it is.
