Man: Exactly when everything is coming down on beat.
Okay, so, get all the rhythms through and clap them so that you can on clap them perfectly so if you can clap them, you should be able to play them because you would be able to feel that. And once you have clap through that, then, you have to rhythm and you do not think that there is any problems.
Now that you are an expert, you start playing the notes. So, going to do is,
Now I guess, this is what I can bring the camera for.
Now, if you see here, this is a Beethoven piece, the second rhythm to the sonata, it is a slur piece. That is a quite a slur actually, it is pretty famous to. So, you will be looking over your score so first thing I would do if I sing this, like be like okay. Well, here is my key signature here,
(Demo)
There are four flats so, it is going to be an Ab Major or where would that be?
(Mumbling Words)
F# minor, one of the two, but I can not remember. So, F# minor or Ab Major but, it is probably I think if I remember it correctly it is in
Ab?
Yes, it is in Ab Major. Anyway, so, you figure out your key and if you do not know how to figure out a key, you find the Circle of Fifths. I was to teach about that before so, if you do not know how the Circle of Fifths, just go back and find the lessons on how, but I teach on Circle of Fifths. So, just Google the Circle of Fifths.
I can see that there is one voice is going here,
(Demo)
And then, there is another one here,
(Demo)
In the middle and then I see one Bass voice here. Now, these things are two,
(Demo)
Those are called Phrases. It is kind like of a singer it was like
(Voice Demo)
And then, take a breath and it was just like,
(Demo)
That is pretty much of what the phrases, it is like, kind of like a little melody then a breath and then a little melody and then breath, somewhat. So Under Phrases, you want those notes to joined then, at the end of the phrases, left with both of you hands briefly and then come down into this,
(Demo)
Connect this. Go down into this,
(Demo)
Join all this up, left up, down into this.
(Demo)
So, that is a lot. Look for phrases, what is going to be kind of like staccato so first thing, playing in the notes so that would be it. Playing the notes, go through the whole piece, count through it, dissect little positives. Now if you have some spot, like say hear it here. See, that is a little funky. You got an 8th note here fallowed by 2-32nd and a random trail with a two 32nd and then a 16th on the little blah, blah, blah so, how will you do this as you just try and break it up.
Now here, you can see, if you can see that, it is a little fussy. Where is my camera, head above this now?
There, focus.
So, this has a bubble-turns slick side. So, really this would sounds like,
(Music Demo)
Something like that.
So, to play a tricky part like that, you would break it out and then do a little exercise that people like to call Idle Note. So say use dotting like here, C on the B
(Music Demo)
Then you play the B and A
(Music Demo)
And then B-A,
(Music Demo)
Well, I should not try read it on off the camera display okay? So, that is a G actually, so G,
(Music Demo)
And then G-F
(Music Demo)
G-A-Eb
(Music Demo)
And then E-F-Eb
(Music Demo)
D natual
(Music Demo)
So what you are doing is you take the first notes then you added other notes,
(Music Demo)
So, you taking one note and then adding it so forth. So by doing that, you reinforcing like everything to the phrases and you learn it really solidly like guaranteed. If you do not, if you can not learn the phrases really solid, I thought be a menace. That is really, really helpful trick
