Welcome to Body Performance, I am Steve Turano. Today I like talking to you about weight loss, how about that for a surprise. Weight loss is available to everybody, you must remember that. Anybody who is willing to put in the time and the effort can have a better body. We also have less remember this. Weight loss is a gradual process.
It is a slow process, it happens overtime. It does not occur all at once. Actually, weight loss occurs at the cellular level. We are breaking down fat cells, converting them into glucose and glycogen and then further breaking those on an ATP energy molecules and then using up that energy.
So, weight loss really occurs at the cellular or the molecular level. That is small, so, you are going to need a lot of changes before you will actually see them in the mirror or on the scale. You are not going to see 200 less calories in the mirror. You have to see 300 less calories when you jump on the scale, but it is occurring, you just have to do what you are supposed to do and have faith, faith that is going to occur.
You see, weight loss involve luck, it is not chance. It is not being at the right place at the right time or holds the dots. That is what becoming rich or becoming discovered or becoming famous is all about. You have to work hard just like anything else. But, there is also a little bit of luck, a little bit of chance of being at the right place at the right time.
But weight loss is not like that, it is science, if you eat less or exercise more and burn out the calories, it will happen, but you got to remember, it is imperceptible, the changes are slow. It is not like they say on TV, ten pounds a week or ten pounds for seven minutes a day. That does not occur. It is a gradual process. If you put the time in, it will happen, because it is science.
