Vanessa: Hi welcome to watchmojo.com. I'm Vanessa and tonight we’re going to discover a new clothing line called Lewd which is bringing unique and timeless clothing to the market. Hi we’re right here with Vicky Galicia, the creator behind this beautiful collection. Where did the whole name came from? Vicky: We came a poster that used to be on my brother’s wall actually. He had this little obsession with The Doors, it’s the poster wanted for Lewd’s behavior, it means indecent but the word is so proper and that’s a little bit the idea behind Lewd is having a little bit of sexiness but always in a proper way. Vanessa: I love the collection. I think everything’s great. Let’s talk a little bit about the fabrics. Vicky: All the knits are pima cotton and they are all made in Canada and the denim is imported from Greece. All the cotton jackets are imported from Italy. We want to be honest and give them good quality at a higher affordable price. Vanessa: You’re using a lot of black and white. Is there a reason behind it? Vicky: It was just what I felt at the time. I was just tired of color. The line is meant to be sustainable not trendy. Black and white is black and white. Vanessa: If you had to choose one piece, okay, from this collection as your favorite, you know, your baby, what would it be? Vicky: I really love the jacket with the little boat on it. It’s just one of those pieces that it will just grow with and just always keep throwing it on. Vanessa: I think you guys say too that you know you’re trying to change the industry and how are you trying to accomplish that? Vicky: You don’t see a lot of unique designs. The money is more important than the passion for it. But I think you can do both and that’s what we’re trying to do.
