So I’m just going to give a better insight of how many layers, stuff is going to this image, and I’m always and try to show as much possible in detail as possible. I hate watching stuff, if I’m trying to learn something and I only got the half of the story. So I was trying to give so much information in sometimes and had so on to go with it, which I apologize for. But it you know it’s the real benefit just get mush detail at that to you as possible and here is the original out of the camera which is quite nice but as always. I want to try and go that little bit of steps further and I had an image min my mind that I want to create, so that involves a little bit more work. And here’s one with the extra sky put it in the picture. And here’s some of the layers that I got into making this image and just the adjustment there alone you can see. The more aligned up here and this quite a few of them and there’s one here just add that more flash to the picture and so forth and the re-touching on some of the girls here on the crotch area there on the hip. Just to smooth things out a little bit but not to go too far.
And so it’s quite a lot right here so I’m going to try and cramp as much useful information to this one as much as, possible. And but you can see it’s actually go over every single step in here and it will take quite awhile. Soothe first step we’re going to take is to. We got the original image on screen now there’s nothing wrong m\with image at all but I decided I want o do a bit more even more mood in the picture. It’s quite a bit cloud and not where I want this, so I decided to go into my archive and find an appropriate sky now. I like to make a few short cuts with this because there is lot to get through. And I want to show you as much as possible.
So here’s the image that I found, it was quite well match to the lighting and stuff the image that was a resident in the original picture. So rather than mask around the girls what I did it’s not cheating because it’s just the way I do now. I decided to put a layer mask in and I don’t want any of the sky at the top end of the picture. I did not worry too much about having a very precise mask, so I basically put a layer mask in the picture and just basically did a soft blend and use the paintbrush tool just to delete the bits I didn’t want showing through. So by doing that I could just create a very soft blend of the picture and like so. Which is pretty natural and it works quite well so that’s a bit of not so a cheat but a different way of masking really. That was the 1st stage completed.
Once the sky and all is in place, I copied it there. I then combined these two layers here into a new layer. And I did this by creating anew-empty layer and with those two layers visible. I held down the ALT key and went to the layers pallet and went merge visible. And what that does it’s called a stamp and it basically combined these two into a new layer. And then from there we can obviously re-touch the image, so there’s our stamp there and I’ll just delete that one. So what we did now, we made a final spot and actually went off the image and just cleaned up desk marks that were resident in the picture and any more re-touching that we need to do.
My next layer was a curve layer and this is the curve here and basically is just to add a bit of adjustment to the sky area. I’ll just show the mask so the mask is basically in white and the black area is not affecting the black areas enough. I selected to point out anything that I wanted to keep from being adjusted there and so that’s just really just adding extra contrast mainly to the sky and a bit around the edges here. And that one was in luminosity mode and to avoid too much color shift. And the next lot of layers is the big stuff, which is the re-touching of the girls, and there’s a few thing that need re-touching at these. This work was custom made and the light is very tight and what is the \flattering sometimes in some poses they weren’t ring enclosure here and the especially on this shot. I think it’s very apparent and it doesn’t look very nice so we need to go over the top we do some re-touching on them, so I’m going to take to that next.
The main thing on this image was to do a little bit quite a bit of re-touching. But not to go over the top and but we to take out some of this wrinkles and make this lovely. These suites were actually made for the girls and there very tight. When they do able to do some poses they create a lot of wrinkles which we could do a lot bad. But we certainly going to take a few of this out especially around the knees we want the knees rather nobly and we want that really flattering. The thing that we’ll go to do is just a little bit of cosmetic kind of surgery, the some of the poses made the hips pop out a bit further, and that’s the original picture. And what the clients they can just slim that down is little bit as said. This like of suits where went flattering in every pose if I were the one it would be faltering a little. And so we just go show you how we just slim that down.
So what we did I took a selection and just that off and, of the girls from the mask. And create that to the Command V on the new layer then just select that. Went to filter, liquefy, now do you fell a quite liquefy tool but its fantastic fun. I’ve actually taken some rather cruel pictures with that. I’ve taken some headshots of friends and turned them to a hobbit just for fun and much of their disturb approval but it’s great fun. But again you’re kind of restraining yourself because you can easily go too far with that. And make a little mess so the several tools here. The one we’re going to use here is the forward warp tool and then I going to make my brush a lot bit smaller. And what I’m going to do, we got the motor making shot here. I will be very careful because I’m moving across its going to affect the handlebars as well, so you just want mo be very careful and just put this pixels in like so. And just slowly boot out them and which is basically moving the pixels over and just slim the hip here.
And as mi said it just go very gentle with it bit by bit. And just broad out until you get it that you need it I’m going to zoom out a little bit so that’s looks up pretty good. It’s a little bit done on that, there’s other tools here and this reconstruct tool which basically will take you to the effect back again. There’s a bucket tool which will basically shrinks stuff so I’m just, going to shrink over the belly button there. There’s a bloat tool which I enjoy using on friends specially the stomachs. And that basically did what it says it bloats things and makes them bigger so you could make your belly pop bigger if you want them cruel. And there’s lot of stuff in here and in fact we my perhaps dedicate a tutorial at some point. And have a bit of fun with this tool.
And so that was that so basically I adapt with, that’s the before and that’s after so just shrunk the hip down. And the other thing we do was the knees of the girl quite nobly, so we have just, to re-touch some of the winkles out there and the way I did that was just very simple. I just went in with the clone tool and basically just did it with that. So just got the clone tool and just sample on an area that is smooth. And basically re-touch that very carefully. What I did do is I also create a new layer so you go to new layer set the mode to overlay fill with neutral color and we call it burn. And then with the burn tool set the exposure down quite low and again we brought up a very slowly. And the range on the shadow and adjust the size of modeling back into the image. Forget my brush toll up and make that bigger and like so and basically mi wanted to burn and add some shadow back in to the picture because we playing over it.
We’d taken away a lot of the little bit of modeling to the picture and if we didn’t do that we’re going to make it look very flat and I didn’t want that type just look very false so we just went in with the brush tool and basically burn in a fake shadow. Where the knee would be, and this is the one I ended up with. And you can see this m is the before and after we done the re-touching and that’s the after. Just add a bit, of shading back in and without that it would just end up looking very flat and very unnatural. So we need to do that just to keep it all looking good. Just make it go back on a second I want to make sure how I did it correct. So that was the before I clone it that’s was the after and you can see it’s gone very flat and hard. So again that’s when I burned it back in and it’s just adding a little bit settle modeling to give you impression of the shadow and the shapes to the picture.
