This is kind of the heart of Little Tokyo called Japanese Village closet and it is just like a little mall with Japanese shops and things like that. Not many people notice, but the ancient Japanese developed plastic before anyone else. This is actually 12,000 years old. It is amazing.
That is not cool. So there are a lot of people in Japan town who are actually Japanese and they do not speak in English. Most people who live up here are Japanese senior citizens. Right in front of every shop on the cement, you can see different shops that have been here through out history.
This is my favorite restaurant in Little Tokyo it is called Daikokuya. We have scallions, and these are bamboo shoots right here, garlic, and then this is the key ingredient this is chili oil. And then also you can pick the bowl up.
The best thing is, it is really cheap, and it is only $7.50 for a bowl of tasty Raman. I love it, it is called Cools. This is for Tobacco only. This comes from a World War 2 Japanese army practice schedule. Everyday practice, too much practice, I love this.
So my family name is Gilguochi, I do not look Japanese, I look all white but I am 50% Japanese. My dad is Japanese and my family is from an ancient Samurai Warrior family life. And we have a family crest and it is right there. My dad is an architect and he was one of the architects on this project.
