Mateo: So here are the latest and greatest videos from the winksound.com community.
Rick: Right, these videos are great because we love watching the videos from the community. So much great stuff is being shared on the community side of winksound.com. Come up with your videos if you have them right now and let’s take out some of the stuff that’s popping right now on the community.
Mateo: Dansta2K explains how to use the sounds from reason with the network studio.
Dansta2K: To start off we’re going to add pre wide channel and choose reason on the client then click on the sharp panel.
In here, what we’ve got is a redrum just with a group master rock edge. Now, we’ve got all MIDI options. Note the channels here and redrum is channel eight. You have to remember that because you’ll be wanting to control channel eight which is the redrum from Pro tools. Just click on add and click on channels and add a MIDI out.
Now, I see channel eight port zero which is fine and then when I play my keyboard, it’s safe panel.
Rick: Dancetech gives us a preview of the new flex tool on logic studio nine.
Dancetech: Prince Charles and is simply grace out the transients it doesn’t need to make 12 bar. So therefore, that’s why you can’t get in the status of 16 although it grace them out they’re still bad. They’re still being sounded. So, that’s why manually put in the transient and then controlling to something lower than a 16 then it doesn’t work because the four that have been kicked out and unused still sound. They just got no way to go because there are only 12 steps for the controls and there are four extra markers.
The reason it works when you use a group and one wave is giving its transients to the other wave is because if I put into 12’s, this wave that I’m going to use is 12 transient markers per bar.
Therefore, it only hands over 12 transient markers to the other region that is part to the group and that’s why it works, that’s why it can put this way into 12’s and it still puts the 12 transient markers and look per bar this one then three, then three, then three.
Mateo: Sir Flex 10 demonstrates how to change the tempo of an audio file in recycle.
Sir Flex 10: As you can see right now this set to triple set to 80 and I’m going go ahead and play this drum loop. If I were to try to change the loop before adding any slices is like to do anything, right now I’ve changed it to 209.
[Demonstration]
And as you can hear it’s the same drum but nothing change. We’re going to change this back to 80 and I’m going to add my slices. If add slices first to your loop then it didn’t’ allow you to change the tempo.
[Demonstration]
