This is Brick Lane. Now some of you probably know Brick Lane already. And you’ve been along here in the what 40 years ago, to names over the shops, the name like Goldstein, Silverberg, Cow and Levy because this must steal the heart of the Jewish community. The Jews have been away by then but their businesses was still on the streets today this hard to find the Desha community and I read it couple of years back there is over 50 restaurants on the street Tangkoli Restaurant.
They all go to my favorite these days is Sierra—recommend and what I was really pleased about I like this restaurant and the independent on someday grow to my stocks is about two weeks ago. So I go to see if she got good taste, now the original Indian restaurant and Chinese of that matter will work in mans café for those communities. We discovered unlike them they westernize the food style and they just become so popular. In fact Indians who has done so popular in this country, the food I just passed is English food. And you know how to do this, on a Friday afternoon take off to work together, when they finish worked they all go to the pub together to drink about 94 points of beer and then try to get the strongest curry available. And when they're sick it’s never enough fault—on the curry.
The only original Indian restaurant working Ben’s Café left in that street his sweet and spicy of the beer, now further off the street is a tall building with some kind of contraption on the roof , I think it’s a mobile phone must and that’s the old Truman’s Brewery which closed down in bit 1980’s. it was a listed building and there are houses, bars, restaurants, night of galleries and it’s a really busy entertainment center. Many ways—when you come along here in the evenings.
Now this smaller countries often say to me, how you afford to live in London it’s so expensive. Well its expensive except for one thing that’s only available in brick play and that’s the cheapest bacon in Europe. It’s a 24 hour Brick Lane Beagles Bakery by the top end of the street. Were you can still get bacon of 15 pounds and get one with cream cheeses and smoke salmon at 1.50 pound.. It has become such an institution, the BBC radio force food program was devote to the whole episode. To the Brick Lane Beagles Bakery and that’s how I know it’s the cheapest bakery in Europe and it
Now this next of the street of left is Trolls Street completely redeveloped in the 1980’s but back in 1902 Troll Street was a soccer’s team. And when he was eight years old, his family immigrate to Chicago where he grew up and he grew up a big basket ball clan. But when he tried to join a basketball club they wouldn’t let him in because in those days the American basketball league won’t allow Indus.
So opong is only tea and the 1920’s the Chicago when the Bangui is breaking ate with his friends, useful and expectation basketball. On one night, a black kid approached Dave and asked if could he join the team because in those days the American Basketball League won’t allow in black kids. Well he can't then join this team, he formed a black team. So it’s a black team and a white team and that’s how the Harlem draw trotters began. And its always nice to get a chance to blow your own trumpets. And a couple years back with New York’s hunts publisher very flattering altered about me and that’s resulted out. I got phone call made soccer team a grand song who is now New York Gloria. How we spent a very pleasant afternoon around here, get it ones or either just much about the Hound Glow Trotters. As you known to that way 353 so there you go.
