Longterm Effects of Caffeine

Kyle: Hi, I'm Kyle from Chicago and I was just wondering if the long-term effects of caffeine are bad for my body?

Bonnie Jortberg: Kyle, that's an excellent question. There have actually been hundreds of studies looking at these effects of caffeine ranging all the way from heart disease to effects on pregnancy and about everything in between and actually what we found is that really moderate caffeine intake and that would equate to about 200 or 300 milligrams of caffeine per day which is equivalent to about two to three cups of coffee is actually safe for most people that they are really does not seem to be any negative effects of taking in caffeine and especially in the long-term and there might even be some protective effects of actual moderate caffeine intake.
