Hi, it is Michelle and I am in Dunton Hot Springs Colorado at an am amazing very rustic resort. It is rustic on the outside as you can see in the background, on the inside it is amazing.
It is kind of, made me think a little bit about how quickly we make judgments of the workplace. How we look at something and we immediately are making an assessment. Never taking the time to actually look a little bit deeper to see the beauty and the intelligence and the skills.
As managers, we need to make sure that we are not rushing to decisions, that we are taking the time to slowly be able to take a look at all of the things that each of our people have to offer. All of the skills, all of the attitudes, all of the contributions, in so many ways, so many people bring different elements to the workplace.
Some people help with morale more than they actually help with productivity of actual projects. That does not mean it is not important. Until this morning as I get ready to go push myself out of the envelop a little bit, I am not judging first but I am going to fly-fishing. I have to fill you in later on how that went.
But for today, I would like for you to just take a little bit of time to think about people in your workplace that you may have overlooked slightly based on an immediate first impression or an immediate judgment.
