Loopt App iPhone App Review

This review of Loopt is brought to you by AppVee.com. Loopt is a social networking application for the iPhone that uses your location to update where you are for your friends that you have added to the application. I have only one friend active on this application right now and pressing the little main button on top will update your location and send that out to everybody on your list. One of my other friends is no longer active on here, so we can actually send him a ping, which when we press ping it sends him a text message request to update where he is.

Another thing about this app is that if you do not have the unlimited on text messaging plan this one would have costing you a lot because every time someone ping or pongs, ping being requesting where you are, and pong being updating where they are. It requires you to receive a text message and then log into the application. You can update your status like you can on Facebook and twitter. You can even add a photo and you can actually turn off a lot of the alerts but that pretty much defeats the entire purpose of loopt. Considering it doesn’t work in the background. Overall, loopt is a good application but it just falls a little bit short, were going to give the loopt a 2.6 out of five stars.
