Everybody, this is John, just want to show you today how to play the song 'Love Don't Live Here Anymore' by Lady Antebellum and I will start off with new tune. The first thing you are going to need to do is put on a capo on the first fret with the song and the G sharp is what is making it a whole lot easier. We will play here our G chord. One of the things you are going to do with this particular G chord is you are going to take your third finger, you are going to put it on the third fret of the G string, right there. So not like that, like that. Some people call that the G 2 or it's bridge on the G chord. The next chord I am going to be playing is the F chord. It's regular F bar chord and then a C chord. So, those are the chords.
The picking itself sounds kind of like this. Just like that and I will show you how to do that. What you are going to do, you are going to start by playing the bass note here of the E string. Just play that and you are going to come to your middle with G string actually, you are going to play that and then you are going to come up with your pick and you are going to put a E and A string all at once. Just like that.
Now, you are going to keep these two fingers here on the third fret of the E string and take the thumb and move it up here. Like that, you are going to do the same exact thing. And then you are going to come down and play this, its sort of a C 2 some people call it, it's kind of like a G foundation where you are going to move your both fingers overlaying like that. Sounds like G, like that. C, you play the same thing. Just like this.
And then with that little riff here, pretty easy, you are going to take here on, you are going to leave it in that formation that shows you this C 2 and you are going to take your second finger right there and you are going to play down the third fret. By the way, when I say third fret, I am taking the capo into the account here. Third fret of your A string and then you are going to play on the second fret of your A string, like that. And you are now going to do a pull off and then hammer back on and then you are going to play just your this string open, which is your D string.
The whole thing sounds like. Now I will do it real slow for you. Now I will show you what I will do with my I pick here. The intro and the verse are actually the same chords. When you are singing, just like that. The chord is going to have some other riffs that I am going to show you now.
Now I did two things there; the first song was the Walk Up. When you are going from the A Minor to the C and you will -- actually it's more to walk down, it go. Now, the first riff there is a walk down from the A Minor to the C. And that entire little walk down is played on the A string as an open A, I will play the second fret and the third fret. Just like that. Now, we have the F fret and the F is going to be a little bit harder. So, if we are using, under the G and that's one -- simply with that G I am going to play something really vigorous.
It's going to be here open B string, open B string, and then we go to the second and third fret with your second and third fingers respectively. I am going to play the third fret again twice then come back to second, then open and then you are going to go to the third fret of your A string and then play and open the B string then back to the G. With all those riffs, the chord is going to sound pretty good.
