Hey guys, it’s Ren from Makeup By Ren-Ren and today I’m going to be doing a tutorial on the Blonde, Brunette, Redhead Collection from Mac and this is going to be a sultry, earthy, smoky green eye look, so if you’re interested in watching, stay tune for more.
Okay, first one I’ll go ahead and apply my eye with pure white Chromaline and I’m just going to use a clean ring finger and apply it all over my lid. Concentrating most of the color on the lid area just because you don’t want your whole eyelid to be super white, especially if you’re tanner like myself.
Next I am going to apply Henna, and I’m going to just put it all over my lid and pack it on by doing a padding lotion. A good alternative to this as many of you might know is sumptuous olive eye shadow or an inconsolable eye shadow. I had an inconsolable but it’s a little bit darker and a little more green than this one. FYI but I don’t have sumptuous olives so I can really tell you how exactly they compare, they look pretty similar in swatches. Next I’m going to take 100 Strokes, and I’m going to use a new 226 brush which came out on this collection. And twirl it the eye shadow and you’re going to go ahead and get that outer V and just blend it up above the crease. The good thing about this brush is it had a really detailed, pointed tip so you can really get it into the crease and get a little bit more detailed than the usual. I’m also going to take it and go right in the tear duct, since it has the little tip. I’m bringing the crease clear all the way down here. I don’t usually do this too often but I think it goes nicely with this look, and this is appropriate for us to that if you did want to do it.
Next, I’m going to take Flip Eye shadow, and I’m going to use, the same brush as before and wipe it off. And I’m going to use this to blend out the color and the way I’m going to blend it is actually I’m going to tap between the white part on my lid and the dark part just so that way I don’t loose too much color. And by tapping, like that, it kind of uses the color. So first I’m going to tap along the borders and I’m just going to go and apply it normally to the brow bone and then I’m going to bring it down into this area by the tear duct. And then while I’m here I want to go ahead and touch up anything, I’m going to put more of the 100 Strokes in the crease. One hundred Strokes is kind of like a frosty version of Sketch, so if you have sumptuous olive and sketch eye shadow, you can pretty much recreate this look.
Next I’m going to take the other new brush that came out with this collection. You know it’s the Mac 214 with tiny little smudge of brush eye lap. People say it looks like the small version of the 227 and I’m going to first get into some of the Henna and since it has small head, it’s perfect to fit right here and to reapply. It makes your eye shadow that was kind of lost with the crease blending. And the next I am going to take some black track fluid line and a Bobby Brown fun eyeliner brush and I’m going to line my top lid.
I’m going to take Raven cool powder and I’m going to use it to serve as a base for my lower lash line. Because I want to put 100 Strokes on top and I want to bring out more with the brownish color in it. So I’m going to go back to 100 Strokes and my 214 brush and then I’m just going to smudge out the bottom and kind of set that brownish color.
I’m going to take some more, wipe the brush off a little bit and take some of with the Henna and just get the inner part right in here and blend it into the 100 Strokes. Okay, do any touch ups that you want and darken the crease area just a tap. Now go ahead and do your eyebrows, you can do this before or after, it’s up to you. I’m just taking my anesthesia brow whiz pencil, just kind of feeling it in. Okay now I’m going to go ahead and curl my lashes and stick on some falsey, be right back.
Okay, so now, I’m finished with the eye and now I’ll have three left, the hair, the cheeks and the lips. So I’m going to use a couple of the MSF’s, I got all three but I’m going to end up using Brunette because this is actually a really, the darkest of them all and it can be actually use as a blush. So I’m just going to take a 209 brush and get all three colors and then just apply it to my cheek bones. You can use either the light, the dark then mix altogether, and it’s really up to you. I’m putting actually a little bit more than the darker strike, so I can get it to show and I think this cloak was really nicely with the earthy tones that we’re doing today. I’m going to wipe my brush off and take some of the Redhead MSF, which is actually my favorite of them all because I think it’s so pretty. And I’m going to take the lighter part of it and use it right on top of my cheekbone as a highlight. See how that shows up on camera, ready. I’m using just the edge of the brush and if you want you can go down this and then you know it’s just a little bit, you don’t want to look oily and just being below your forehead and the chin area.
So now I’m going to go for the lip color, I want to do something kind of subtle as well. And I’m really liking this combination of Marquis Dee and Live and Die, pretty, pretty colors. So I’m just skip the lip liner and glamour up for those sticks. This is a luster so it’s pretty sheer, it used to work on most people. See how pretty this color combo is, I mean it might not have stood out to a lot of people but I love this color and I’m in not usually just like a regular pink kind of girl but that colors together look so pretty.
Okay, so that’s it for my Blondehead, Brunette, Redhead Collection Tutorial, I’m not sure what I’m going to name it yet but I hope you guys liked it. And as a little bit of a departure from the bright blue, the purple that I have been dreaming lately so, until next time, have a great night. Ciao Bellas!
