This is Todd Ogasawara of mobileViews.com this is a 2nd generation MSN Direct watch you using the spot technology that streams data one way is using a AM radio frequency to this watch.
Today Microsoft released MSN Direct for Windows Mobile. It only works on a Standard Edition. That is the non-touch screen phones. I installed initially on my Dash but the thing froze. My Dash—to point where I had to pull the battery to reset it and then when I reset it I discovered it had drained my battery down—from 95 % charge to about 65% in a matter of less of than half an hour.
This is a HTC VOX the one with the keyboard on it. And as you can see MSN Direct adds a little box right here on the middle and I am going to press it and it brings up a bigger display. And you can use the right or left nav buttons to scroll through the data. Can you see that pause? It’s a little sluggish, here’s an option button so you can set different options, set the city for weather and select news sources and that sort of thing.
I am not quite sure how useful this is, it’s pretty but as you can see, they don’t make good use of space. There is a lot wide space, they could’ve pack a lot of information here I think. Make a drill down and see more details for a particular story and there’s also adds but we are not going to look at those.
So that’s it, it’s MSN Direct for Windows Mobile Smart Phone only, no pocket PC or Professional Edition Version, no idea why?
