My name is Delon and I work in the McArthur park area. And it is a beautiful area. I do manage and leasing buildings of the area, minus that thus during the day and night I own a record label across the long records and I got a record coming out. Okay, so I am going to give you guys a little history on McArthur park. It was originally a swamp land area in the 1880’s, it was called west lake park because this was the west lake down town Los Angeles.
After it was called west lake park it was called McArthur park named after the general Douglas McArthur. He was a controversial figure in American history, he was in three wars, WWI, WWII and the Korean war. Basically it was a naturally aspirated lake meaning that it was natural springs that you got your water from but after they put the Metro in and the Train system they had to put a cement bottom.

People want to live in down town and this is literally seven blocks from down town. No body really knows about McArthur park area, they know Midwelsher, they know Korea town, they know west lake. When I look out the window I think about the fact on how lucky I am to have a job, to be eating you know what I mean, to have my 9-5 as well as have my studio, my personal life, a music life all around the same area. Have a nice area around me, I mean it is just, I mean then I got Korea town which is like three blocks from here and you know Korea town is the Bong.
They server the best food down there on a daily level maybe I wake up going to Land groove be back in my zone meals. Unlike the area or other areas I have lived in here I can get out. I can get out, I can go run in the morning, you could be around in the park. I could be around people that I like and I speak Spanish fluently so I have no problem with people around me. [Foreign language]
Latin community and Latin community is always very friendly. Best of all the culture is so being around this area you do not really have to be worried about being in other peoples business or offending someone by walking into the store in a long time. Looking at people and smiling like, this is not he type of area because people here are very humble. Basically, you got everything from travel agencies to food joints. To a social culture that you could be around, and you can spend time with and that is pretty much all you need. I got my studio, I got my house down the street, I got my building here where I work. Everything is everything in this area.
