Macbook Pro 17" Repair - Display Removal

Male Speaker: LCD removal. To begin you want to get your Torx T6 screw driver and you want to remove the three Torx T6 screws located here, and two here. And on the other side you will notice three Torx T6 screws here and here. Also you will notice the connection of inward board and the logic board. And the video cable which runs from the logic board into the LCD. Begin by removing the video cable or simply want to cable free and lift out.

Also the inward cable, should start free from the logic board you want to get your flat head screw driver and gently slide, this from this connector on the logic board. The black connector should pop free from the logic board. You will also notice the tape that is holding the connectors in place. Simply pull that back and free. Now you want to remove the three Torx T6 screws from the LCD. You will notice that the video cable is held in by small connection about the small screw on the right side this helps ground the cable when the LCD is lift up or down.

You will also notice that the innermost screw is not threaded all the way through you want to remember this when putting the LCD back in. Lift the video cable up to remove the screw from the holder. You will also notice two more screws that are held in by the clutch. Remove these as well. You want the hold the LCD and the removal of the last screw. Once the screw is free simply lift up, and out remove the LCD.
