Now, let us try out some other tools. The next tool I wanted to try here is a brush tool So let us some led that we can do with this one. I am going to draw some clouds with it, so I am going to make a cloud layer and our brush tool, primary thing about this one I could say is it is a good companion to the pencil tool. Pencil tool, you click and drag, move it around and you make strokes.
The brush is the field version of this tool. So, I am going to do pretty much the same thing. I am going to click and drag around and I am going to make fills instead of strokes.
Now, if I go back and take a look at what I did with the selection tool, I just want to verify indeed, we have fills. You can see that is different than a stroke, it is just working out of a fill area and even if I go in and change the preview of that, I can see that I have got an outline around it just like I would for a normal fill area. Okay so, with that in mind, I should draw a little bit better cloud here.
Now, the options in my brush tool are going to be similar to what you would expect to see in a brush tool. I have got sizes so I can go for really brushes or medium size brush. I am going to go for a fairly big one. I have also got some shapes down in here. I got my big circle glove but I have also got ones that will help me to draw and kind of calligraphy or hard edge shapes or whatever you would like. For clouds, I think I will stick with the big round brush and I have already got a great color selected from my mountain top, so I can go in and draw in a cloud.
Now, I think this is kind of interesting about this tool because you think of fills in a little bit different way than you normally would some other elements. I could just keep painting and drawing in this area to keep feeling it in or could use the paint bucket to fill it in which kind of brings up a very important point.
As we start seeing these tools, there is a lot of overlap between them and really what you are going to do is look at your drawing and say what kind of object do I need at this point?
I would even like to point I drew this in a couple of different ways, scribbling with the brush tool, filling it with the paint bucket tool. If I go back at it to the end, take a look at the outline, I still have a nice clean outline drawing from what we did before. And again, this is going to be the same as all the other vectors that we have drawn.
If I select it, I could use a little smoothing on it. I could change some of the edges. I want a little corner in this point instead of a nice round lines, I am going to use my control and pull that in. We are going to work with it pretty much the same as we did with any of the other elements that we have building with the other drawing tools in here.
