Hey everybody this is Jerry Carter with an update on my review and my opinion of the Magic Jack.
I got Magic Jack back and I believe it was March, was it? When it was first came out. I did not actually start using that for a couple of weeks. When I first did use it though, it did have some glitches as a new technology tends to have. It had issues with the voice not working, making and receiving calls.
I went to the website at the time I have not bothered to check yet because since then, it has been working fine but the max support, it was not there like it is for PC and that is why I am using an Intel Mac laptop and I was not for sure about firmware, they suggested that, you know, depending on what your thing work like, how the shift with the packaging look like, the date you bought it, I was not quite for sure exactly when the date was and that was the issue because it was very specific about it we did the wrong update, it would actually fry your Magic Jack for some reason, probably the firmware would destroy the circuits that would be completely worthless.
So I just let it go and figured maybe to work itself out which indeed it end-up doing and since then I would have to give up a two thumbs—The Magic Jack has worked quite well especially for newer technology, all new technology tends to have its little hiccups and corks and bugs in them.
But overall especially for the money, you know, it was like you basically have to buy a Magic Jack—one time purchase with the shipping was I think $50.00, I probably go ahead and spend the twenty dollars for second year of service which still cheaper than Skype although I do not think this is direct competitor Skype because they do have there differences. You know, Magic Jack allowing me to have a lot of features for free that Skype, I believe, charges extra for, I am not sure.
The biggest one is the phone number, you know, to pick an actual phone number that people can call you on. And I do not have the right, I think it is worth quite well so far and I am pretty pleased, so I would still recommend the Magic Jack. Thanks for watching, talk to you later.
