Welcome to this episode of Body Performance, I’m Steve Turano. I was recently stopped at the bank by a young lady who said she needs to lose 60 pounds. Now I end up spending about 20 minutes giving her a seminar on weight lose. Now she going to have to diet, do cardio and do some type of weight training. The more these 2 she does the less she will have to diet. And what she does not understand is she gain that weight gradually over a long period of time. So she may have to watch what she eats in order to lose that but once she is at her target weight because she gain that weight gradually she should be able to maintain her target weight simply through diet and exercise.
That is what people do not understand about trying to maintain there weight with diet alone. If you lose weight by dieting that is fantastic but now you can never eat anymore the amount currently eating with your on a diet or you will gain weight its inevitable. So why have to look like that, I would much rather eat the foods I enjoy and burn off any additional calories those few extra calories that out of the day by weight training and with cardio. Much simpler, much safer, much easier and hope you maintain your Sammy. Love your body. I will see you next time.
