Applying Eyelashes
Here we have Cheryl. Her make up is mostly done but there is a couple of things we want to finish it off with just to give her that extra kick. She is already beautiful, but these fake lashes are going to totally bump it up a notch. Alright, you ,take fake lashes and you pull of the end. You always want to measure them to your eye and make sure that they are not too long. That is what keeps lashes looking nice and natural. You usually safe by cutting of three or four pieces from the outside part of your fake lash, okay you are always safer having them too short than too long. So what I am going to do is take a slash with a little scissor and I am going to cut off basically that trimmed around. I am going to cut off the last three pieces of the end of this fake lash. So now I have trimmed my lash. It is going to be even shorter than her entire eyelid and that is where we want to g and that is where we want to go.
Applying glue, I prefer using waterproof black glue. Display when it dries, it is going to dry black instead of drying clear and being shiny. So I am going to apply just a nice thin coating of this waterproof glue and just let it sit for about 10, 15 seconds. Basically until the time it takes you to get your tweezer out. As we get close to the lash you want to put it right in the center of your eye. See, I am leaving the outside edge for her own lashes. Once you make sure that the lash has been attached you open your eyes slightly, just open your eyes, let me make sure that you are not glued your eyelids shut. Then you close your eyes again and then here is the big pearl effect trick. We are going to turn your lashes up so that it dries up like this.
Okay this is the most important part to having your lashes look incredible and completely opening up your eyes. You want to make sure you gently have it dry up like this. So you partially take it down to make sure that you are not attaching the glue to the lid yet you maintain the nice flip so that it dries up. So that when you open your eyes, so when Cheryl opens her eyes, you see how strange it looks. The lashes way up here and the real lashes way in the bottom.
But you have to have faith in this part and let the lash glue dry, And once it dries, wait until you see the effect. Remember, flip it up, make sure you dry it like this. I do not know what makes the biggest difference in the way your eye make-up turns out.
Now we are going to apply a fake lash to the other eye. When you are doing the sign yourself, just hold it from the center until you place it where you want it to. Go! And again I prefer doing it right in the center of the lash of your own eye because you want the outside lashes to be your own and the inside lashes to be your own. So once you have placed that, again you open your eyes. You make sure that you have not glued them together and to make sure that all the edges are going to be glued down to your lid. Do not worry if a little bit of it pops out. If you close your eye again, and then you go in with your tweezer and you place it. You gently place it to where you want to go. Do not put this fake lash over your own lashes. Make sure you get as close to the lash line as possible while still staying on the lid. And again if you see, I am flipping it up. I am flipping it up gently and while I flip it up, I take it down to make sure I am not gluing the eyelid. So you flip it up and make sure you do not glue. Okay. You just have a little patience, it is worth all the difference in the end. Open your eyes, okay, and if any of your lashes should get stuck, do not panic, just pull them out. This is going to happen. Also if any of the edges pop out, just take a little brush and put a little glue right on the edges.
I will go back. And using waterproof glue, your lashes will stay on the entire night long even till the next morning and if you want to pull them off, they just pull right off from the edges.
Once you make sure that the lash glue is dried you are going to attach the real lashes to the fake lashes using a mascara wand. It is very simple. So if you go back and forth in motion, what you are doing with your—attaching your real lashes to the fake ones and this is going to lift up your real ones so you never have to curl them. It is going to pull down the fake ones and it is going to create a natural look. Remember when we kept the outside lashes of your own. So when someone looks at you then I am going to see this big ol fake lashes sticking out.
But when Cheryl opens her eyes, can you see the difference between the two and how I have attached them. And again the mascara wand goes sideways, back and forth to make sure you are attaching the real lashes to the fake lashes. It is going to pull the real ones up, the fakes one down. The outside edges are your own so it is going to stay looking nice and natural. And when Cheryl opens her eyes, you will see the lashes look quite natural but have an extra added effect.
With the pearl effect Cheryl is eye catching.
