Hello, this is Dan Norris and we are going to make a Christmas tree for Christmas ornament.
So, let us bring it over here and we are using two feet of copper wire twisted in the same pliers I normally used, with the teeth in it or cutter. So, we are going to make the Christmas tree hooked first. That is what will go around the stem to hold or to hang the Christmas tree by. The first thing I am going to do is make a little Christmas ornament at the top of the tree. So I bent this 90 degrees then I am just going to make a little Christmas tree ornament by making a round circle. You can get fancy if you want to and make one of the little angels that we make. But this time, I am going to bring this all the way around. So it leaves a round circle there down here at the bottom, parallel with the hook. I will start the Christmas tree.
Now, I am going to make it at 90 degrees from instead of bringing it over this way. I want to come back this way because that will bend there, kind of strengthens the whole thing. And the Christmas tree will become like this where we are just going to start making this tree a tight bins and each time we are going to come close to the middle but not quite to the middle, not quite lined up with this line here. But each time we go out we are going to go out a little farther. And then just bring it back around the pliers. But we want this about the same distance right here but we are going to go out farther each time.
We will make four of those. On this last one, we can leave it a little more of an angle here and then right even with these we will make a tree trunk. So do not make it too big, it will look funny. We will just make a square tree trunk like that, just to give the tree a bottom. Then we are going to out, we are going to copy this angle here for this side. So that looks about right, you are going to have to guess a little bit. Maybe this was a little bit of angle here. Then we are going to come here even with the tree trunks, so right about here and then we will start bringing it in a little bit each time instead of out. And then we are just going to try to match the other side. So this should be the last bend here, so we want to bring it up. So, see how that starts to make a Christmas tree.
It will be a little odd, see, I should have made this side a little bit longer. This is the first time I have made this Christmas tree. So we are experimenting, we want to bring this around to the front of the Christmas ornament. Bend this around and pinch it. Then you could stop there and that will make a nice Christmas tree ornament.
