Friendly greetings in the fall aka autumn. I’m on here island of creativity and I’m going to show you something very creative how to make a movie in the second life record one for your own uses tutorials or otherwise using wegame.com. But there are other free Mac options I think. Not to get too far away, right up here is a green square you may have seen that. that indicates that I started wegame.com.
I started it first, I boot it up started the second life viewer and logged in. it recognizes is right up there. It’s very, very simple it’s part of an online video sharing site. They welcome many online games and virtual worlds including second life. And the settings are really basic. You’re going to have your directory setup in a proper hot key I just have F5 make sure it does not conflict with your second life gestures.
So whenever we are ready to do that all you need to do is second life just start pressing the hot key. So, let’s walk up here and it will disappear shortly I believe. Just press F5 and there it is it is recording. So when that thing is gone, it’s recording we take a ride to the trees. F5 again, stop it and it will process. So keep in mind it’s a lot of a clip give it a few moments.
If you don’t like it you can go ahead and delete it. you can upload directly or you can play. If you play it, it will open in your default video player. So, if I click this it should open up QuickTime. Let me drag the window over, I suspect it will open in another window. And that is the clip we have. I’ll resize this so you can see clearly. Let’s basically just play it. F5 and there it is and it’s recording.
When that thing is gone it’s recording we take a ride through the tree. And of course once we have this clip it’s on AVI file you can actually open this in other video editors and post process it. if you choose to do that. If you don’t you can just easily go back to wegame upload to wegame and then I can title it with “Tutorial Clip” because that’s what we did.
And you can say what’s it about of course. One thing is at the present time you’re not allowed to delete your own clips from wegame from their control panel. But you can ask the staff they’re very good about this. So I hope they delete your own feature in the future. When you have details like that, you can add tags and stuff later, I think.
Well, let’s just go ahead and upload it, and it will encode so let’s give this a while. Remember that it’s saved to the hard drive even after this is uploaded. You’ll still be in your specified – okay. Let me just – and where it is stored you can easily retrieve it if you want to upload it to another video sharing site. In the mean time though let’s go ahead and let’s check it out on wegame. You want to edit it and add a tag right there go ahead and edit my video, like I said before you cannot delete your own yet.
