Alexandra: I’m Alexandra Burns and I have a business, a very interesting portrait business, which is called For Your Eyes Only Portraits; and we specialize in taking semi-nude or nude photo concept of brides to be and designed to be a beautiful gift for the groom.
So we come along to the studio now, there is actually a photo shoot in progress as we speak, you’re privileged to be in here today cause it’s normally a very private environment. Kirstie, one of our expert photographers is just taking pictures of this lady here, who’s drawn a corset along and a little pair of shorties and some high shoes with tights; Kirstie will guide through all of the poses directing her as she goes, by like doing have to do any performing as such.
Kirstie: As women, we always tend to feel like everything that we know that we don’t like about ourselves is the most obvious things everyone else deceives us; and I think we can all relate for each other in that way; the thing is a lot of women don’t realize when they think that anyone could feel that way, so it’s just important to make sure that when they come in, they know that we understand that and that we all feel like we have our faults; but the most important thing is that we focus on the positive things about ourselves.
Fantastic, now turn your face to the light and eyes up at the light, brilliant, lovely, relax.
Any woman could have a fear as any portrait, every woman should have a fear as any portrait show because it’s just one of these things that it does make you have a spring in your stat, by the end of it, you do feel that much better; we have a lot of women here coming and they feel very, very nervous at the beginning and halfway through the shoot as time and they’re going, I never thought I’m standing in front of them, I’m not a human being just in my heels and some nickels, you know, this is a big step for me but I actually feel really comfortable. A lot of photography is very spontaneous and also it’s very involving when you’re being photographed and you’re being directed through all the poses, you’re not expected to be paid more so, or come out with some great performance, you know, you are being guided to a variety of poses and some of the poses lend themselves to having no plates on and some of them don’t; we had stories of there has been tears, and you know, it’s quite an emotional present to receive a thing because very often the groom knows what his wife has been or his bride has been through and having these photographs, they know it’s part a little bit out of character to it, it’s not something that they would normally think of doing, and it’s got element of, see, this is me, you know, I am sexy, you know, we don’t spend a lifetime together and this is me, I’ getting myself the, you know, the photos for you forever. So obviously photography is something which is great for that because you’re capturing something for a lifetime on it; so it’s just a perfect, where you know, giving a personal present really.
