The CD ROM that we are about to send you is mostly about simple panels like this. I am connecting the one to a radio or charging up some simple device but I want to suggest that you should show interest in charging mobile phones. Here you can see two batteries taken from mobile phones; they are lithium ions. One of them is actually powering an LED and the other is possibly being solar charged. Both have a simple connector made from 3Amp terminal strip cut down and fitted with wires made from paperclips.
I am now going to hold this panel up to the sunlight and connect in this secondly to the radio and if I am moving the power around, the music will fade away as the sun goes to almost nothing. That shows you what can be done without any batteries at all.
