Hi! This is Mama Shan with another tip for using Mama’s Rosacea treatment action. I have just run the action right now and set up the group set here and as you know when you use a white airbrush it will brush in the effect. Just make sure it is on 100%. Now if you really want to fine tune in your selection I am going to show you a little trick here.
With the group set expanded, I am going to come down to where it says color balance right here and double click on the thumbnail and what I am going to do is set the mid-tones to green. Now you are not going to see any change when I do this right now but it will help you when you brush in the selection and then we will come back and change that to a normal amount. So I am going to click OK and then scoot back up here and click on the black mask of the group and we will just collapse that so, we would not get into any trouble by inadvertently clicking on a different layer.
So with white as your foreground I got an airbrush soft around, normal mode, opacity 100%, Flow 100%. We are going to come in here and brush this on. And this just gives you a better clue of where are you are making your selection. And also if you want it—its Halloween right now, around that time. If you want to convert any of your friends into The Hulk or other fictitious comic characters that are green. This action works quite well for that as well.
So I am just putting in my selection by brushing this in. You want to get all the skin because you want it all to be totally balanced. So even the skin, that does not have the Rosecea most often times you are better of swiping in the selection in those areas. Okay, let us see right here then I will come back to fine tuning those lips later. Let me hit my X key here I got a little bit of a hulk green into the eyes and you do not want that so you want to make sure the interior of the eye is normal which would be painting with black. And just cleaning off the overspray.
Again it is not quite as important on the ears but in here around the eyes and the eyebrows and the hairline we can do later but around this areas it is pretty important. So now we are going to expand the group set and we are going to come back into our color balance here. We are going to take back down. We have fixed the image and it looks quite nice.
Now if we want to balance it a bit, what we can do is if it looks a little too red to you, these colors listed in the color balance area give you the key to canceling out the color. And they are in a linear fashion. So notice how cyan and red are on the same line. If you want to cancel out red then, you move the slider more towards cyan and see how that is canceling out the red. If you want to cancel out some blue, move it more towards the yellow and we are dialing in just perfect skin color here. If it is to magenta, add green but we have already done that with our selection, he really does not need green and then just click OK.
You can also go into the shadows and highlights areas as I have stated before but here we go with that and then I will come up to the next colored layer which has instructions on it for contrast. So it tells you to double click on it to adjust that. And that simply gives you a levels dialogue box. And look at the input sliders here. We notice that it is missing a little bit of information on the right hand here. So, I am going to take that white slider and move it into where the information starts.
Now if I go all the way over, it looks a little too pale. So I am going to split the difference and just go right about there and that looks good to me and if you need to adjust the midpoint sliders, if we move to the left that brightens up, if we move to the right, it will darken it up. And I may keep it down there around 90 to 94, gives them a little bit more tan appearance, it is a summertime photo shoot. So let us look at the preview before and after. And that really pop the luminosity and the contrast here and I am going to click OK.
And then just a little bit of touch up back here on the mask. Make sure the outline is around the mask. I am going to grab my brush again and lower the opacity. You often have to do this on the male portraits is the lips. You do not want them to look like they are wearing lipstick. So what we want to do is cancel some of that red using the Rosecea formula.
So at a lower opacity 20 to 30, I am just going to come in here and just quickly swipe. Be sure to change your foreground to white when you do that because we want to reveal that effect. And so that is just going to cancel out some of that redness in the lips and in here on the tongue and the gums. And success of swipes will add to the revealing effect. So let us look it up before and after. I will click this off and on. And it is pretty amazing. Thanks for watching the video, hope this tip helps you out with revealing your Rosecea treatment.
