Male: Kristine and Scott finish off the master bath with new towels and
toiletries. Now, it’s time to find out of there hard work and vintage design
face off. Real estate broker Greg Woldman returns to see the results.
Greg Woldman: Wow, this came together a real well.
Female: Did this?
Greg Woldman: It did, I like it.
Female: I see the nervous look on your face but I think his liken this.
Male: It’s easy to see why Scott and Kristine are nervous. They completely blew
there $5,000 budget. They spent $1,500 on tile but save big by
repurposing old furniture and lights. The glass shower and plumbing set
them back $1,000 each but the real budget buster was the top of the line
jaded club with tub a $4,000 splurge in all they spent over $9,000.
Female: So the averaging of master bath remodel is a lot higher, the small
bathroom can start at 12,000 so for doing this for under 10 or 10 that’s
pretty amazing.
Male: Before the remodel Greg price the house at $370,000.
Female: And what do you think numbers wise now, how much is that going to add
to the value with the home.
Greg Woldman: Well see on all the special features and the very unique character that’s put
into this I would say 17 to 20.
Male: Scott and Kristine were able to double there money in equity by doing
most of the work themselves and the personal touches they made are
mostly decorative and can be remove when in comes time to sell.
Female: What would you price the house at?
Greg Woldman: I price this home at 392.
Male: After expenses that leaves a net gain of $9,760.
Female: You guys must be relieve and happy and now you’ve got an amazing
bathroom that you can actually enjoy.
Kristine: We are very excited.
