The Nellie’s of the food network are always cooking up things that are sweet and spicy just their spiced butter cookie with ample lace. Now I thought that would be the perfect thing right around the holidays. So I use in this a spring broad to come up with a cocktail that I call my maple butter kiss.
I start that off with 1 ½ ounces of vodka. I'm going to pour it into my shaker that has ice in it. Right, and then I'm going to add half an ounce of butterscotch liqueur. And that is rally going to pronounce the buttery goodness of this cocktail. Now I'm going to add just a splash of maple syrup. Try and use the real thing because that’s what’s going to give my maple butter kiss its real maple flavor.
When I say a splash, I mean about a ¼ of an ounce. All right then one ounce of half and half, I have substituted with soya milk, whole milk and even almond milk before and it's turned out great but this time I want it to be really creamy. I'm going to top it off and give it a good shake. The shaking not only cools down my cocktail but it also dilutes it which is a good thing.
All right and in it goes. Oh yeah, it's going to be rich and creamy and buttery. Now, I'm going to top it off with a little fresh grated nutmeg. You can use pre-ground but I definitely recommend using fresh because it's just really nice and strong. It's a really great finish to my maple butter kiss.
Let’s give it a try. The creaminess and the butterscotch and the fresh ample with the fresh ground nutmeg, this is sugar and spice and everything nice in a glass.
