Marc Langenbrinck Talks About the Smart Urban Stage Smart invented Urban Mobility 12 years ago and it's still the most consequence city car and the most sustainable in the world. Last year, we invented electric drive as the first serial full-functional electric car. And we think we are an ideal partner for the cities to discuss with them sustainable development of the city. That’s what Urban Stage is all about. The Smart Future Minds Award awards ideas about a sustainable urban future. That means we have different categories like create design, IT, social webs like architects which we challenge to present us the future city ideas. And as such, we want to award the best ideas, how we will move and live in the city in the future. The visitors of Urban Stage expect a very colorful program. Starting at the experience of the first true electrical car, the Smart electric drive which they can actually drive themselves in the city. We will present the different ideas about future of the city, sustainability in the city and we will have different events like discussions, like exhibitions, like also parties because that’s what the city is about and we want to be part of it. We are in six different metropolitan areas with our Smart Urban Stage and of course also, the Future Minds Award. So, the winner in each metropolitan area will be awarded with €10,000.00 and then we will have the European champion who will have a smart electric drive as first prize. Yes of course, every visitor who is interested will be able to experience personally the smart electric drive that is a substantial part of Urban Stage. We will have Smart electric drives, you can register via the internet or personally at the Urban Stage and then you will be able to cruise with the Smart electric drive to have a personal feeling for the car in your city. Smart electric drive combines in an ideal way, sustainable, local zero emission mobility and fun to drive. At Smart we say, “Fun is the new green”. So, it's not necessarily to have a very -- let’s say “boring car” but with the Smart electric drive, you combine fun in the city and environmental friendliness.
