Alex: It can be seen as the acceptable face of Congo. It's a bet that usually only get one outcome. Groups of people are ideal for proposition bet. Anyway our groups of people gather, because if you put a proposition bet out unless five or six people there you guarantee to have one or two take it.
Speaker 1: Alex has gathered five or six people around in order to put his latest proposition bet into play. Our cameras are hitting around the plot to catch to the action.
Alex: We need two short glasses.
Female Speaker: Two short whisky?
Alex: That's great. We'll fill that up and some water, we got some water.
Female Speaker: Yeah, yeah sure.
Alex: Okay.
Female Speaker: And you get it?
Alex: Fine. We'll fill that up to the brim there. This is the bet.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Alex: The idea is to get the whisky into the water glass and the water into the whisky glass, but you can't use an extra glass, can't use a straw, and you can't use your mouth. Alright, but it can be done. How much money have you got on you, have you got anything?
Speaker 2: A tenner.
Alex: A tenner, you are on. I am going to use something. I'm going to use -- I'm going to use my driving license. No holes in the driving license, okay. Driving license, I keep at top of the whisky, here and that change here.
Speaker 1: Amazingly the whisky and water are actually swapping glasses. With the whisky and water completely swapped Alex has won his bet and is a tenner richer.
Alex: Making the whisky and the water change glasses is quite an interesting one. It's just pure physics. It's density. The water is heavier than the whisky, so when you turn the glasses upside down, the water forces itself into the whisky glass thus making the whisky shoot up into the water glass and that's exactly how it works.
